when lana was talking to lex after he asked her if she said that she didnt want to marry him on the wedding day, i was shocked.
first she said yes and i was speachless, but the she got into this whole thing with him not loving her anymore because of the babby!
i geuss that lana lang is a great actress!
but i still cant believe how evil lex has become, being able not to tell her the truth through that whole dialog is just plain evil! i cant stand what lex has become
its funny because i was watching my season one dvd and i see lex shooting pool with clark and giving the kent presentd and money and help, what ever happened to the good, less complicated days??

I thought Lex looked like he'd just taken a bite of a sh*t sandwich when she said all that. It left him unable to speak. Bravo, Lana!

Yeah that was incredible. Schools, play dates...she pulled out all the stops and twisted it up Luthor style!!!!!!
I used to think that the Lana writing had gone down hill this season but I was wrong, after I saw that part of the show I was convinced I was wrong.

If Lex knew there wasn't a baby, then he knew she was lying about "feeling something wrong" on her wedding day. Any babble of hers after that was just crappola. Her attempted guilt trip was incredibly transparent and Lex is not going to take having someone try to manipulate him.

No, because he thinks she knows there was a baby and felt something wrong with it. I think he bought it hook, sink, and barrel. Great guilt trip there!

Couldn't agree more, I actually found that scene boring. All the Lexana scenes bore me, two people lying to eachother, they both know the other is lying yet no confrontation, I don't get it.

Lexana scenes are awesome. It's a shame that they may not stay together, I would love to see Lana become more of a Luthor and Clark to see why she was never a good match for him. Can you imagine what doubts would be removed if Clark witnessed Lana becoming darker and darker, and more and more like Lex, using her new found money, power and influence for her own benefit?
That's how I'd like to see Clark "get over" Lana....

Actually since Lex was giving her a hormone to make her body think it was pregnant there would have been no way that Lana couldn't have felt "something" and obviously did. However, since it was a false pregnancy Lex would have no way of knowing if at some point Lana's body wouldn't start to feel "wrong". I think the scene was played perfectly.

i thought that in her situation, it makes sense that she "felt something was wrong". that's vague enough to fit many different sets of possibility. I liked this from Lana, and thought KK did a great job with it. A lot of people complained lana was too dumb, too gullible, or too trusting of lex. Now that she's been shown, not just miraculously smarter, but actually growing smarter in a way that makes sense because of what lex puts her through, i'm not gonna complain about that.
I hate most lexana scenes, but if more of them were up to this level, i probably could grow to like them.

That was awesome! I was surprised that she came up with such a good lie so quickly.she has definitly changed. I love the new Lana though.

I actually think that Lex saw right through her lies. He didn't look speechless to me...he looked like he was contemplating what to do. He fights like hell to get back to her hoping that it isn't true what Clark said, then he sees her holding Clark's arm...I think he was contemplating, "Should I release the rage inside me now upon the woman I love or wait until later when somehow she just happens to find herself in an accident of the vehicular or thug type variety?"

It was a great scene....kudos to the writer for such great dialogue and of course kk for her perfomance. What makes it so good imo is the subtle "double meaning" in Lana's words towards Lex.
When she was going on about how much he loved their baby....of him building the nursey...having their entire life planned etc....it was as if she was saying "out loud" the lengths of Lex's deception. As in "I can't believe how far your lies went. You knew I was NEVER pregnant and yet you looked at me straight in the eye and lied to me ALL of this time"
and then when she said "But how can I stand at that altar in front of all of those people and say that everything was going to be ok when I knew something was seriously wrong. What kind of a person would lie like that?" It was as if Lana was telling Lex "how could [you] stand at that altar in front of all of those people and say that everything was going to be ok when [you] knew something was seriously wrong. What kind of person would lie like that [lex]?
and of course the final blow was "If someone lied to me like that, they would loose my love forever" Which is pretty much where Lana is at this point towards Lex.
KK's wonderful performance of that scene brought that dialouge to life...I could feel Lana's emotions...her anger...her pain....bubbling to the surface as she was talking to Lex. ....Followed by her emotionless blank stare during the hug....BRILLIANT.

Right now here's what I'm hoping for:
Clark sees that Lana has become too corrupted and gets disgusted and turns his back on her. Then he goes on to fulfill his destiny
OR
Lana encourages Clark to go and fulfill his destiny
Jephael

It should definitely be the latter, because at this point Lana and Clark deserve some proper closure!

Actually I disagree, but I think her lines could have explained it better. For instance, "I knew there was something wrong with the baby. I mean, I know all the doctors kept saying that everything was OK, but...I didn't FEEL anything. I wasn't showing. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I just knew that something was wrong."

I really couldn't see Clark turning his back on Lana, even if she has changed. I could see him deciding that she's not the same girl, but I think he'd feel at least slightly responsible, whether it's warranted or not. But I could see even Lana saying that she's not the same person.
I just hope that whatever happens, they have an adult conversation about it.

Is it that much of a stretch that a mother-to-be would have some connection with her baby during pregnancy? If so, then despite seeing sonograms, tests, etc due to the hormones, it is believable that Lana might sense something isn't quite right. I'm sure Lex would find it believable that she thought something was wrong with the pregnancy and Lana played that up perfectly.
Side note: looking back at the whole pregnancy thing...it's amazing how far Lex went to keep up the charade...ie: doing up the baby's nursery and all that junk. Talk about a dedicated actor! lol
The best part is Lana turning her confession into something that must, if he has ANY conscience or sense or morality at all, have put some guilt or panic into Lex with the statement that she is so "lucky" to have him and that he still loves her despite going through with the marriage knowing the pregnancy was in jeopardy...b/c if someone did that to her, "they would lose her love forever."

Hey, it kinda reminded me of the time Martha was pregnant in season 2. She was always so worried about her baby to be, especially after all those accidents they got into. Of course after that car crash, it was game over and Pa Kent was pretty P.O.ed about it!
