Okay, I didn't see another thread on this. But why's he doing this? Seriously, when people said they suspected he was protecting Clark...I thought they were thinking way too deeply into it.

It's ridiculous how there are only 3 episodes left and next week's is going to be a complete filler. If they wanted to do an episode like that, they should have replaced Wither with it. Noir is going to be this year's Ageless.

yeah, I hope the season finale is going to be a 1 and a 1/2 hour episode because they seriously have a lot of story lines to fill, such as:

-Martian Manhunter
-Lexana relationship
-Laniel relationship
-Clionel
-Clana relationship
-Chlimmy relationship
-Marthiel relationship
-33.1
-NEW Wes thing
-project Ares
-Justice League (not happening though :()

looking forward to it, but I really hope they can pull it off

It's possible that he could be referring to some Kryptonian intergalactic threat, but I'd say that's the least likely idea.

I still think Lionel is keeping with the "i'm not on either of their sides, i'm on my own side" idea and that includes protecting clark from lex

Lionel has his own agenda but he will always protect Lex in the end because Lex is his heir and deep down the two of them do love each other.
