So I guess the Iguazu Falls phantom is not the Dr. Hudson phantom. I wonder if he's still in Argentina.

Perhaps this phantom is the one the finale is concerning.

I loved this. This was the same place that was shown at the end of "Zod". Great continuity there.

Hmm, the video was on the DVD titled "Ares" and I thought project Ares was about the prototype Wes Keenen. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe there is a link between the two. Maybe the phantom is in the prototype? I don't know.

My only question if that is true is why would the phantom go along with Lex's plans?

Maybe Lex was taking an ordinary human body and converting it to an extraordinary host for the phantom. He did, in fact, do this with his body for Zod. I'm not saying this is right, because I honestly have no idea. But, I think it is feasible.

Yeah so did I. I thought it was a great nod to the premiere...it almost came off as if TPTB actually had a plan and that was a sign post so to speak toward the finale.

I was thinking that also. Maybe Lex somehow figured out a way to draw the phantom in. He somehow figured the phantom was looking for a powerful host and is tracking it maybe as its leaping from one to another?

I think they could have done this nod quite a bit earlier. I really wanted by now to have hints along the entire season of what Lionel is up to. They've barely been utilizing him lately. I hope he becomes a major player in S7.
As for Lex using the phantom, I don't think it would fit in with Lex. He hates aliens and wants to protect the world from them regardless of what has to be done to do it. Maybe the prototype is his weapon against the phantom. Perhaps the video showed him the phantom's powers and what it could do and he's designing the prototype to withstand those powers.

That might not fit in with Lex, but in a way it does. Above all Lex wants to obtain power. If he somehow made this prototype with a failsafe you know? A means of controlling it. He draws the phantom in and then gains control over it and somehow uses it for whatever mad billionares use genetically mutated alien beings for these days.

Well, you could be right. He may very well want to do that. But I think he will create another apocalyptic disaster as he did when he collaborated with Milton Fine. I think he will learn that the phantom can't be controlled.

I thought that scene was awesome. When the phantom came out of the waterfall and attacked that guy, I was like cool.

I wonder what happened to Aethyr & Nam-Ek. It's possible that Nam-Ek died and didn't heal his wounds in time, but Aethyr should definitely be alive on Earth.

aethyr wouldn't be a phantom, since her body wasn't destroyed in the zone.
but if u go back and watch zod again, it's confusing, some of the phantoms had bodies in one scene, then not in the next. But I seriously doubt it's her

I know it's not her. But I'm just wondering what happened to her. I hope they don't just forget about her. Maybe she has adapted to life on Earth and will pop out somewhere in season 7.

Ok, that video of the lady and then the phantom completely went over my head! What the heck went on there? And what did that have to do with the price of tea in China???

I thought Lex was trying to create a prototype to combat the alien menace. The video of the phantomin Iguazu Falls was merely the proof he had to justify his actions in creating the prototype.

I just want to say that it's freaking awesome that Karl "Helo" Agathon is the prototype :)

So that piece of footage was just a byline of something a later episode will focus more on? Ok.

I'm almost 100% positive that the phantom in the Ares video IS Zod.
At the end of the season premiere after the phantom left Lex's body we saw that very same scene, and as far as I knew we were supposed to take it as that phantom WAS Zod.
So as far as I can tell Zod's back!!

actually, zod was pulled from lex by Jor-El's \S/ crystal. The phantom at the end of ZOD was just one of the many that were let loose.

And maybe this is the reason he saved Clark. He has plans!
