I had a worrying thought...

The previews all show many flashbacks. We know Smallville has usually used scenes from previous episodes in previews even though they weren't aired in the episode the preview was for. However, recently in Promise we saw a clip from a previous episode in the preview and it was also a flashback in the episode. So it's possible these flashbacks could occur in the actual episode interspersed with scenes of what's happening in the present. They wouldn't do that to us, right? That would essentially be a clips show and there's just no good way to do a clips show. I'm crossing my finger that I'm worried over nothing but the spoilers do say Clark and Lex examine their friendship, which would make flashbacks appropriate. I'm really looking forward to this episode so I'm going to stay positive and keep repeating that Smallville would never have a clips episode, but the thought itself just makes me shudder.

I don't know. If it could be done with just a few clips, not the whole epi, it should be ok. Besides, they got that woman commando thing going right? that should be cool. plus for the Clana fans there is that potential hug at the end (I think?)

Hey guys I am excited about this episode!! I think that Lex will leave Clark for dead!! Clark will finally realize that Lex was always evil and he will go all out to save Lana- that is if Clark gets outta the cave. I have a feeling Chloe will be there to save the day. What do you guys think!!

Someone has to eventually rescue Clark from the lab which is surrounded by Kryptonite. I don't think anyone else but Chloe is up for that task. :D

I would hope Chloe comes up and she plays a major role...but most of all...am excited how Clark would take LEx when Lex tries to play the softball...

I am sure we will see some flashback since in the one preview Lex talks about how he and Clark were friends till Clark came to think of Lex as his Nemesis. The show sounds like it will show how they came from Clark saving Lex's life to how they are today. I think they will flash back to scenes where Lex does somehting evil and lex explains how it wasn't that way and be shown the scene again with Lex put in a better light by adding to the scene.

This is just me but it is how the shows sounds it will be to me at least.

That makes sense. Some flash backs but not the whole show being a giant clip show. I think they will need to flashback to see where things happened that might be considered milestones. Looking forward to it -

I hope for no flash backs and talking straight from the gut between those two.
Also, I hope that Lex pulls Clark to safety because Lex is Superman’s nemesis not Clark’s. I like seeing Lex evil but there still has got to be an ounce of loyalty for the guy he once considered a brother. Even if it was portrayed as you saved my life once now I’ll save yours, we are now even.
I want Lex to still have some humanity left in him because I still think he believes he is Segeath, a hero by his own words.

what flash back did they show during promise? I can't remember one.

I too don't want a whole show to be a giant clip show like you just a few flash backs as you state might be considered milestones. I too am looking forward to it.

I hadn't thought about that Lex is Superman's nemesis not Clark's. So it would make sense for him to save Clark's life to sort of make them even.
