Wait Peter is still learning. Clark Kent after 6 bloody seasons doesn't do anything in a fight give Peter time.

its the first of the fights between them kring or some1 said that theres going to be an epic showdown between them but it isnt going to be for a bit, they cant have 1 killing another yet if they even kill one another

Yeah this is just a sample of the epic showdown yet to come. I can live with it. You gotta love the look on Sylar's face as he was getting up...it was like WTH? This isn't supposed to happen to me. LOL

Yeah you gotta give it time, if they give us the really awesome showdown between those two so soon, what do we have to look forward to in seasons to come. I want their fight to be legendary, maybe even take a full hour episode, that would be long but I imagine it would be awesome.

It will definitely be the fight of all fights.

I agree I was a bit let down by the fight thought it would last a bit longer, but I loved the face on Sylar when Peter healed his head as he was cutting him. I think we son't see a confrontation between peter and Sylar for some time. I think more than likely that Sylar is thinking ok I need to get more powers so PEter can't put up a fight, but all the while Peter will be gaining more powers too. when they do brawl it is going to be for the ages.

I was wondering why Peter didn't use any of his other powers...or knew to dodge the glass or stop it or something.

I was sitting there like, "PETER DO SOMETHING!!!"

...and then he gets glassed in the back of the head, so he was facing away from sylar

I think the fight was kind of a cop-out, with the weeks long build up, and the cliffhanger ending from the previous episode, but the end of the show makes up for it.It was well written, as Peter discovers that he can recover from "death" itself, which will only increase his confidence. At the moment ,Sylar is unaware of Peter's wherabouts, or the fact that he also has Isaac's future painting ability.

I like it. Sylar was surprised to see Peter use his powers and the amount he has. I think that was the whole point of the fight. Peter is still learning and will get to the point where he will even be able to pull out Sylars new powers without fault. But I think Peter was trying to formulate something and was caught off guard. Peter has got to be a little scared of him right now as well. His last two encounters did not go so well.

Sylar "Cant wait to try that one" what a great line.

Oh lord. The "the fights are teh suck" crowd has spilled out of Smallville and into Heroes. It wasn't really even a fight scene, don't be expecting Peter to be throwing any punches either.

Completely agree, the point was the surprise each of them got to witness, to lead to the next round.

It was kind of weak, but it sure as hell beats any battle Smallville has ever had.

How about fly over the table?

Saviour of Earth

he shoulda flown above him and behind him and Sylar should have gone all pissy and yelled "WHERE ARE YOU?"
then Peter could have turned visible again and whispered in his ear "here."
That woudl have been cool lol.

Yeah the fight should;ve lasted longer. And Peter should've tried something to fight Sylar. Besided from the mental punch (where did Peter get that from or can he also take over any power that Sylar has, because that could become interesting!!!)

And yeah. Why was Peter with his back to Sylar anyway? He was invisible!!! He could have gone around the back of Sylar and hit him!!! He could have hidden himself. Anything!!! If he just kept his eyes on the Psycho. But nooooo, just turn your back on the murdering lunatic. And don't say that he was running away... if he was he would've been more than just a 5 or 6 feet away.

Saviour of Earth

He used his telekinesis.

and he might not have been running away but could have been loking for a place to hide or some kind of weapons etc.

Peters had telekinisis for awhile now. He got it from Sylar at the Highschool. So yes he can use Sylars powers.

That woudl have been cool lol.

now that's something i expect in round 2. by then peter should be confident enough with his abilities to play around like that. haha.

That was actually round 2. Remember 'save the cheerleader?'. Peter won the 1st match, the 2nd was sort of a draw. My bet is on Peter for round 3. Peter was wise to not reveal all of his abilities(such as flight) to Sylar.

There were also more beats of action in the Sylar/Peter fight, including that Sylar was pushed out a window by Suresh and fell several stories to the pavement.

At the end of the day I think most of these compromises have no negative impact on the show. Adam and the art department dealt with all the changes quite well. The only one that continues to perturb me is how Sylar is taken out. The world’s most fearsome villain, immediately after taking care of Peter, who has about 14 powers, gets knocked out by a chalkboard?!? Oh well.
This from Beamans blog talking about budget cuts and why the scene was short and shall we say plot holish.
