Did Clark really tell Moira Chloe's life story???
Or did he just say that cause he couldn't stand seeing Chloe suffer like that?
What do you think?
It seems strange that they would've cut such a scene.....

He said it only to make Chloe feel better. I can't imagine Clark saying so much.

But we know Clark wouldn't do something like that. And whatelse are they going to talk about while Chloe is at the store? And why didn't Clark superspeed to the store and back so Chloe and her mom couldv'e had more time together? *shrug*
I think he really did give her the "Chloe bio." LOL!

It was in typical Clark's style: Chloe has crush on me for 5 years. My best friend. Best friend of Lana. Let Lana live with her and Gabe. Was living with Lana during first year on college. Lana ...., Lana ... and then Lana... .

Unfortunately I think you might be right.
Maybe Moira chose to go back into a catatonic state rather than hearing Lana-stories for the rest of her life?!?

haha thats jokes.
But yea I think he did tell Moira the Chloe bio, but they didnt' show it because it would look dumb and take too long I think. Although they could have shown a snippet of him telling her and then just let us assume he told the rest. I'm sure he did tell her though becuase we weren't shown any indication that he was lying (if he was lying they would have made him give a sort of look or some other indication to the viewers). You know like the Lana about to puke look whenever she hugs Lex lol.

He's Superman, right? He can't lie.
I hope.
But, as they say in writing, "show, don't tell." I would've rather wanted that sort of interaction; showing off the Chloe pride/love.

lol Clark has lied more times than any character probably. Soo many times he lied to Lex throughout the show..... so fraid theres no credence in the no lying theory.

He gave her Lana's life story. Really, we can't really know until Moira wakes up and confirms it.

I'd say that he did tell Moira all about Chloe.. how well she does in school, her time as editor at Smallville High, her friendship and loyalty to him.. I can see Clark really bragging on Chloe.

Yes. He really did.
Come on now. They don't have time to show *every* scene. They only have 42 or so minutes to get their whole story in, and that's not a lot of time when you consider that a script is usually over 100 pages or so. Who knows, maybe it'll be a deleted scene.

I doubt it. This is Chloe's mother she doesn't even know who Lana is. He prob told her all about Chloe's journalism career. And that they are bestest friends. :D

I'm sure Clark must have told her. Why else would she have specifically called her "my cub re..po...r..t..e..r" again (like she did when Chloe was young)? Or something like that.... Hi, by the way.. I'm a newbie.

Actually I am an up and coming tv screenwriter and actually your script for the most part matches the episode length.
So if the episode will be 40 or so minutes you just need 40 or so pages.
Oh and I think Clark told Moira but I don't know because this is SV Clark.
Comic book Clark would have told Moira for sure but SV Clark...I'm in the middle with this one.

I'd say he has definitely told Moira about Chloe, why would he lie about that anyway? Probably not in every detail, but just enough to give Moira something to remember about her daughter. Very thoughtful of him.

Yeah, that was weird. We are supposed to imagine Clark sitting there talking to Moira for an hour or two? So, Clark would sit there and talk to Moira telling her all about Chloe, but he won't superspeed in, grab some pills, and superspeed back out so that Moira can be lucid and out of the crazy house? I know that Lynda only signed on for 1 episode so they had to get her off the show somehow. But it seemed really out of character for Clark/Superman to completely turn his back on someone who clearly needed help. Help that was easy to give. A simple treatment that could have left Moira lucid and free. Smallville could have kept her written in and just have her go the way of Aunt Nell. She'd still be in Chloe's life, but we don't need to see her every week. That would have been really great for Chloe to have a mother in her life.

It wasn't as simple as that. Moira didn't want to be used as a weapon. They made it so Moira was a hero sacrficing herself for the greater good. It's sad and tragic but it's the kind of tragic thing that pushes Chloe to want to expose and bring down Lex.

I totally get what you're saying chlo-el. I guess if they could have suppressed Moira's power she could have remained free. Personally, I'd rather have my mother back in my life than than not have her at all. But it's what's best for Moira (and the world) not Chloe. Thanks for clearing that up for me, it was distressing.

If Kent family shares one character flaw with the Luthor fmaily its the total lack of honesty. Clark lies everyday and I swear I saw the ole "what should I say" look on Clark's face - that same look he always has before coming up with a story...

Clark told Moira all about Chloe for sure, Moira probably wouldn't be interested in anything else. Just because Clark lies relating to his identity, doesn't mean he would lie for no reason.
