Missed opportunities & things that you would change looking back to improve Progeny

I would have made Lex cut & shave Chloe's mom's head and take the cut hair to impant it in his head. Then he would steal her power and control the freaks himself and unleash them all against Clark.

I guess they never found out anything from that laptop they got from Tobias' doctor in "Freak".

Which makes the reason why Dr. Bethany was freaking out seem absurd & pointless.

I would have dumped that script in the trash and wrote a new one. This may be the most dissapointed in a SV I've been yet. Usually after a break they put out a good ep. Not this time.

^^I'm with ya elway. This should have been a Lionel based episode. I hate the formula they've stuck to in the last 3 seasons (keep Lionel a mystery until the very end). Seasons 2 & 3 where he was much more involved were far better. I even think he had more airtime in season 1 when he wasn't a regular than he had in season 6 so far.

And it was also surprising that he wasn't used considering that he was a part of the scenes from the previous episodes.

Yeah, you're right about that. He was shown in quite a few scenes from that recap they had before the episode.

I think there should have been more product placement. Clark Kent's acting debut in the Tundra commercial just wasn't enough for me. Why tone down the advertising when you can easily zoom in on that Dell logo on Chloe's computer?

Personally I thought it was a step up from Subterranean, and though the episode as a whole was far from perfect, the concept wasn't bad. I think it just needed some rewrites to fix some of the plot holes and to make the episode more captivating and exciting as the last 8 or so have been, minus Trespass, which wasn't a bad episode but it could have used some work. And that episode has started to grow on me after re-watching it a few times, so maybe time will tell on this one. Plus at least this episode had nothing to do with exploding babies or illegal Mexican immigrants fresh from the border who speak better English than I do.

Maybe some better parts with Chloe's mom, and a little less whining and mopey like behavior from Clark towards Lana. Chloe stepping it up a bit more when Lex was threatening her would have been nice too!

Oh, we want real improvements and not wishful thinking?
OK. In the hospital Lana- Chlark scene, its pointed out that Lana is a manipulating tease and now shes made her bed with Lex and she can go back to her lying husband.

Maybe someone can slip Chlark red Krypto next episode. Thats always a nice jolt of reality.
