when chloe asked how lana was doing he said "she's fine" and didnt tell her that lana lost the baby. they're always keeping things from each other!

Maybe he didn't feel it was something he should go announce to everyone. Lana will tell Chloe when she's ready. Besides - I think Clark was a bit more concerned with how Chloe was and what was on her mind.

Yeah, that was a good move by Clark there not to tell. Lana even made a big deal about saying that Clark was the first one that she told, it would've been wrong of Clark to tell Chloe.

No I think Clark was being considerate. Chloe in a sense lost her mother again, so he knows how Chloe and Lana are close and he doesn't want Chloe have another thing pain her soul

I agree with the other two posters above mine...

Love you guys!!! :D

^yeah maybe he didn't tell he because she already had alot on her mind. She had just lost her mom again after being used like a puppet. It would of been too much for one day.

Plus, you know they want to milk the drama of having Lana reveal she lost the baby to Chloe, too.

Yeah - exactly - it was 'focus on Chloe' time - not stand there with Chloe and talk about Lana (again) - Clark did the right thing. He was a good alien tonight. :D

I agree, his main concern tonight was chloe.Even she had to remind him of lana twice(at the mansion & the end),but chloe been thru alot and clark was there for most of it.So his main concern was chloe, not tellin about lana

I agree, its similar to lana tellin chloe she's pregnant first and chloe not tellin(Rage). She'll find out soon that lana is no longer pregnant, but in that last scene that wasn't clark's concern. He was focus on how chloe was doin, and imo that was needed

Clark didn't tell Chloe that Lana lost her baby because it wasn't his secret to tell.

It had nothing to do with Chloe and the sad situation with her mom.

For once he made the right choices tonight, and he actually used his brain. He even thought more than chloe at the asylum when superspeedin to get the video of chloe. While chloe was more like clark tonight jus ready to jump right in,clark was more rational/calm(Funny how at the end they switch back wit clark ready to jump at lex,and chloe bein the rational/calm person). It was nice to see him focus on chloe and not mention lana as usual, his mind was in the right place tonight espcially that last chlark scene.

Also, it's a complete role reversal from when Lana first told Chloe she was pregnant. In Rage when Clark asked Chloe if Lana was alright after he'd run into her at the mainson, Chloe told him Lana was "fine," and kept him in the dark about the pregnancy. Tonight, Clark told Chloe that Lana was "fine," and kept her in the dark about the miscarraige.

He was concerned with both of them, he obviously feels really badly for Chloe because she just lost her mother but he also must feel very badly for Lana because she just lost her baby.

I agree, clark felt bad for both girls but I'm glad he didn't jus drift off into talk of lana when he knew chloe needed support. She jus lost her mom and came to the farm lookin bad/makin clark worry,so he didn't let chloe get off subject from him askin what's wrong. His concern was on the one infront of him, which was great...But I agree,he was concern/felt bad for both girls tonight.Clark acted great around both

i think clark knows that it is lana's decision to tell people not his even though he looked like he wanted to tell chloe he knew it was better not to thats lana's choice besides chloe and clark are such good friends they sometimes keep things from eachother but only if the secret is someone elses they still respect other people and they are good enough friends to understand that plus maybe clark figured chloe is going through enough right now and lana will tell when she is ready

He made the right decision. Besides, Lana told Clark he was the first one she's told. For Clana, that's a pretty big step because it involves honesty.

Not a Clana fan. However, I would love to see them become true friends. I think I might actually enjoy that.

I'm glad he did focus on Chloe. And I'd love to hear what he told Moira about Chloe!

It wasn't Clark's place to tell Chloe about the pretend baby loss. Clark did the right thing by keeping silent.

i wouldnt worry about that. It wasnt his secret to tell, and it parallels a number of things:

Chloe not telling Lana his secret as it is not hers to tell

Chloe not telling him in Rage about the pregnancy. Lana specifically asked her not to.

I think it is a good sign for all three of them. Yes, they are able to share things with each other, but when you are in the middle and one asks to keep the secret, its a sign of trust when you do

clark could have done what the rest of us would have done. he should have said "dont tell lana i told you this but she lost the baby.let her tell you. dont tell her i told you"...this way there wouldent be any perceived snubbing between two people whos relationship is based on trust....the most important people to clark and chloe are clark and chloe and keeping a secret like that could hurt when found out they were witholding that kind of info

I think Clark simply wanted Chloe not to worry about Lana.
However, the Chlark is not as nice as it used to be, I agree....

He was right to keep a confidance to himself and he did tell the truth because essentially, Lana is not seriously injured and will recover as far as he knew. Did Chloe actually ask about the baby or was it a general question? When Lana is the subject or is on screen I tend to tune out.

Clark was considerate of Chloe and maybe he's starting to realize the sun doesn't rise and set around Lana after all. But stop with the Martyred Lana crap. SHe's right where she said she wanted to be despite all the times both Clark and Chloe tried to warn her about getting involved with Lex so I have negative sympathy there.

They will milk it though. Poor Lana she lost her not really a baby. Whatever the reason for it, I hardly think Lex made her think she was pregnant to get her to marry him, though. From the doctor's demeanor, when Lex and he talked after the ultrasound, I'd have guessed it was an experiment of some sort. But I'm not really sure nor, as I said, do I really care unless it has to do with 33.1. Maybe there really was a baby and it is being kept in 33.1. Lex did have a daughter in the comics.

Lana has to tell it to Chloe herself. It's personal thing.

That's not for Clark to tell Chloe. And Chloe's kept enough secrets to get that. If she really wants to know more details, she can visit Lana herself.

Yeah, Lana told him in confidence. It's like Lana telling Chloe she was pregant in confidence. If Chloe does find out Clark knew and didn't tell her I doubt she'll be that upset about it, she's been there.

I don't think it was an imporant issue at the time, he wanted to just concentrate on Chloe and her situation, I mean we all kno Chloe would feel like crap knowing that Lana's situation was more important, we all kno how Chloe truely feels on the whole clana thing, and I think as a friend, it was nice of him not to mention it..now if chloe said hey hows the baby, thats another story.

Lana and Chloe are best friends. Lana will tell Chloe and she should be the one to tell her. I'm happy that Clark did not tell Chloe.

Maybe he didn't tell Chloe because it's a painful, sensitive matter. Lana should tell who she wants, when she wants.
