Well she was mentally troubled and just got out of a catatonic state. Give the woman a break. >.<

That was the character not the actress.

What?!??! Lynda Carter was the best guest star this season. I really believed she cared for Chloe. Not every character has to be yelling and dancing around, her character was understated, that's different than wooden.

I think Lynda did a great job until the very last scene. But I have to agree with you, Kreukie, on one point, she played that last scene somewhat oddly.

Never seen so much as a clip of Wonder Woman, so I have nothing to compare this to, but I didn't care for Lynda Carter's acting much.

Uhh...she was slowly slipping back into a catatonic state, right? I thought that was clear. It wasn't something I've ever seen but it seemed convincing enough to me.

wonder woman played a woman who was comatose for 12 years.
she did a good job,
showed alot of range from her other roles.

She had to be catatonic in parts of it and weary of her ability...so, I'd say she did a good job :)

In my opinion the actress wasn't impressive.

lol, I know it was the character, but the actress had to play that. I think that was just a character choice.

I agree - Carter did a great job. And like others have said - she was playing a distressed mother who hadn't seen her daughter in a long time who was at the same time worried about hurting his daughter and slipping back into her catatonic state.

Yeah, we've covered that, I wasn't talking about your opinion overall of the actress anymore but rather the idea that the last scene was weird. The last scene was weird because she was slipping into a catatonic state. Something I'll venture to say most of us have never seen.

I thought her acting was wonderful. I could definitely see a connection between Moira and Chloe.

:rotfl: yes you are right it was a bit weird. If you can go catatonic that quick then maybe you oughta talk real fast or maybe even write some things down.

Wonder Woman was especially bad in her last scene with Chloe. I mean Allison Mack was golden as usual, but Wonder Woman's acting made the scene seem really cheesy, and not touching like it should have been.

I was really surprised at how terrible her acting was in that scene--couldn't they have gotten her to step it up a little? I guess not.

For some reason my recording only got the audio and not the video so I really can't speak for how Lynda played the last scene.

What I can say is that she was a great coups as a guest star and was an amazing beauty in her day. What I heard sounded pretty good to me though.

I'm reminded of DeNiro in "Awakenings." And comparing anybody to DeNiro's acting, well, it don't get much better ;)

I think that scene was indeed rushed; it was a little strange becasue they were in a race to get her back into catatonic before ep's end. Other things should have been cut to make more time for that.

I hated the way that last scene was played out. It wasn't very believeable. It kinda felt like the Yoda death scene!

It had way more to do with the writing though...People don't normally know when they are about to go into a catatonic state. If she was laying down on the couch instead of sitting upright, I could've probably bought into her slipping out of lucidity.

yea the whole idea of slipping into a catatonic state seemed so weird and dumb cause she's just sitting there and like "i'm going now". I'm not sure whether her "bad" acting was intentional as part of the character and her messed up nature or just how Lynda Carter protrayed her. I suppose it was intentional because maybe it would look even worse if in that last scene if she was soo emotional and crying and stuff and then just out of nowhere slipped into catatonic lol. I just hate the idea they had with her sitting there and like slipping back into her catatonic state.... it seems so dumb to me lol.

I never missed an episode of Wonder Woman during the first run.

Due to a medication I use I fell asleep just after Clark took Lana to the hospital :(
I recorded it though and will get to watch it over the weekend.

From what I was able to see Lynda Carter was awesome.
And at 55 years old, she looks DARN good!

no I actully think she did an awesome job,
Even at the end, she struggled with her words slowly going into a catronic state, I mean could you imagine, not being able to talk how you would like knowing whats about to happen to you. she was fading but wanted the words to come out, i thought it was very heartbreaking, if anything the woman was nothing but awesome!
old, and her lips seemed weird to me but acting was fine

I believe her acting was pretty spot on.
My aunt died of ALS (Loud Gehrig's
disease) where the mind is whole but
the body stops working and my sister
was diagnosed in 1996 with
cerebral vasculitis. With my sister
it was a very rapid
progression and very similar to
what I saw Lynda Carter portray. It
was difficult to watch because of my
personal experience. In my opinion
Moira may have been conscious again
but might not have been 100%.
Whatever, I would take it in a heart
beat.
Comparing her acting in Sky High,
there was definitely a difference; she
was playing a character, one who is
not completely whole. Of course,
Lynda was my idol growing up, so
perhaps I may be biased, but based
on the above two factors, she
played the part as well as could be
expected, if not better.

I enjoyed Linda Carter's portrayal of Chloe's mum, so glad there were no stupid Wonder Woman nods, like the episode Exposed

I also think Carter did a wondereful job. The director might bare some responsibility for the awkwardness of the last scene. Either way nobody is perfect. I hope she guest stars again.

I thought Lynda was very unstated and subtle in her performance. She's usually very over the top (she has to be, most of what i've seen her in) and it was nice to see a nice, quiet performance.
I think she did a great job. Especially her scenes with Lex. She and Rosenbaum really hit it out of the park when they were together.

Also, did anyone else notice that Moira was controlling her daughter with a bracelet? Nice nod to the Princess there.

That last scene gave me the chills because my mom has a mental illness.
