I entirely agree. Good Clark episode. He actually does things instead of doh-de-dohin' around letting others take action or having someone tell him to go do something.

Really enjoying the more action-thinking-hero Clark. :D

Yeah - but give Clark some credit - he did do some stuff himself for a change. Chloe did have to point that out so that it would still be a team effort - or else it would really appear that Clark could handle himself and catch all the details on his own. Not that he couldn't but it would be a big change from how he's acted in the past. :p

Lex did not allow Lana to find out, IMO. Not by accident. He knew she would found out eventually, so he revealed it, but made it look like she had done it--so society will shun her and look away from Lex, who's nurturing Lana's baby in the lab! My turn to say muahaha!
