Anyone else notice that her hair was brown in the flashback, and brown in the episode, but in Season 4 Forever, is was very light blonde. Continuity problems?

You're not the only one that noticed that I did too. I kept saying why she got brown hair?

Her brown hair really pi**ed me off. I mean, they actually showed her with blonde hair in the "previously on Smallville", for God's sake!

I, too, was enraged. I mean, everyone knows that hair color is an immutable constant, unchanging and unchangeable by any means.

Actually, they didn't show that scene at all, but I read that Lynda did actually show up in a blonde wig, but they wanted her to be a brunette.

Why didn't they just gove Lynda Carter a wig? Did they think we'd all forget what her hair looked like in Tomb?

That makes as much sense as if they were to make Lana a redhead.

More like a cheap ratings ploy IMO. "Hey lets get wonder woman (lynda Carter) to be in it somehow."

"Well what about Chloe's mom having blonde hair like last time we saw her?"

"Who cares they won't remember and so what if they do it's wonder woman."

I was thrilled to see Lynda Carter, I can't really blame TPTB for using her.

She looked incredible.

They did show the scene--just a quick glance of Moira from the back. You could CLEARLY see her blonde hair.

Indeed they should had explained the hair a quick line of Chloe asking what happened to her hair could had been what they needed. They know that we would had love that so they cut it to keep us guessing....Curse TPTB! CURSE YOU!!!

I don't get why they didn't have her wear the wig. In the interview Lynda Carter said she brough a blonde wig but they didn't want that. I guess it can go back to Chlois spec wanting us to keep speculating if Chloe dyed her hair but that doesn't work since we saw Chloe's bolnde hair as a little girl. But since TPTB dismissed the idea of her wearing a wig there has to be some reason for it, right? It could be they wanted the hair to show Lynda Carter looking more like Wonder Woman w/ the dark hair. But to me it work better if they had some type of nods to wonder woman and I don't think they did.

Yeah but if they were thinking that then why did they show that scene w/ Chloe huggin her blonde mother?

More people getting ticked off because of a hair color? My God I didn't realize how shallow Smallville viewers could be.

Well, if you go back and look when Chloe and Clark are looking at the file that Chloe stole from Lex, Moria's profile has her listed with the stats of:
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color:Brown
Height: 5'8"
(They show it before Chloe opens up the pic and sees that it's her mom, right after they show the location, and Chloe looks confused of the familiarity)

So at least they matched in this episode!!!

I have said this from the begining, I have no quarms about Ms Carter playing Chloe's mom but I agree in prevous ep when they showed her from the back, her mom had light hair. I read that Lynda brought a wig with her but that is not the way they wanted to go. They did not even explain the difference in hair color. At least they could of explained it.

do people complain about different actors playing james bond? or the change in vivian on the fresh prince of bel air? it's not that big a deal to me...besides, i like that they can wink at wonder woman fans, saying we got an actress you like, with a superhero past, and we want to recognize her for what makes her famous by keeping her traits the same...

All we've ever seen of Chloe's mother is the back of her blond head. So it's another inconsistency on Smallville. A small one at least. I'd rather see Lynda Carter brunette than wearing a bad blond wig.

Um because its freaking Wonder Woman! They kept her hair because they wanted everyone to recognize the iconic character. DUH!

I would have been nice if they explain the hair change since in past ep Chloe's mother has light hair They could of said they had to dye it because of her treatments or something like that

Changed haircolor isn't so bad. It's more than year what what we have seen Chloe's mother for first time.
I don't think that people who watch Smallville and aren't obsessed like we are even didn't recognize there's something bad with it.

I agree that they should have added a line to explain this (c'mon, just one little line and everyone would have been ok) but I also agree that having Lynda in a blond wig wasn't the way to go.
Then we'd get "Why was Wonder Woman blond?" and Cathy Lee Crosby flashbacks!
heh.

And as for SV fans harping on this, it's just another sign to us that TPTB don't give a crap about continuity. THAT'S what bugs us.
If they mess up hair color, what's next? Forgetting that Lana has a biological father out there somehwhere named Henry Small?
;) :p

Yeah, I posted a bit of a rant on the thread about Gabe as well.

*gasp* Who knows?!?! They might give someone a haircut and never explain when they got it cut! (*cough*Chloe*cough*)

Such a drastic landslide in continuity, hair colors and haircuts that are never explained! Heavens no!

I noticed right away, but girls change hair color all the time so I don't think is a great deal, I was more upset that they didn't reference her as "wonder woman" you know like the refences in "exposed"

I kept waiting for a line like "Chloe, your mom is a real WONDER".
Or from Lex, something like: "You Ms. Sullivan, are a real WONDER with a power such as yours".

It would have been a great nod.

Logically I think at least one of Chloe's parents SHOULD be a blond, since 2 brunettes normally have a brunette child (although not always of course given recessive genes.) Anyways, maybe what we saw in S5 was Moira's natural hair colour. But she always preferred to dye her hair because she didn't like being treated like a blond airhead. It went back natural blond while she's in the coma, but she dyes it as soon as she gets out.

Its easier to figure out the lack of continuity in the hair colour compared to the lack of continuity on the "what happened to mom when I was a child" front. but for this, I figure Moira used her power on Chloe one last time and told her to forget what really happened.

I read in that TV GUIDE article by Rich Sands that was posted last week

Linda Carter: "I had actually brought a blonde wig so that we'd look a little bit more like each other. We looked so great together, but I think they really wanted the dark hair."

Probably to step up the Chlois argument... networks love it when there is controversy like the Chlois debate...

You can't just change the hair color of a character and not expect people to notice this kind of stuff. It drove me nuts for the entire episode!

Yeah, you can. Especially on a character we've only seen once and even then only saw the back of her head. If it was a major recurring character like Clark and all of a sudden he had his hair dyed red for no reason then we'd have a continuity error. This is a minor hair color change that effects nothing but some (overly) picky fans.

I'm happy to see Lynda Carter, so I don't care about her hair. Heck, Lana's not a redhead.

(and my hair has changed colour many, many times).

Lana wasn't a redhead, and Pete wasn't a blond.
Sure it bugged me at first, but I moved on ;)

I've already posted this but I'll do it again.

Chloe's mom woke up from her catatonic state and dyed her hair from blonde to dark brown.

actually there was a meteor freak named "Harry Salon" his power is to be able to style and change anyones hair within 20 ft of him.
Grey disaapears!
blondes go black
Brunettes go blonde
red heads stay red heads (nothings prettier then a girl with long flowing red hair )
From beehives to pony tails he does it all!!!

Moira took control of him and had her hair done. Even crazies like style and good looks sometimes.

I'm on the side of people who say they should have been consistent for the sake of continuity. And if they wanted "Wonder Woman" to be recognized, they should have cast her in another episode as someone other than Chloe's mother.
