I just read an interview from Tim Kring and he said that Season One will end this story and Season Two will start a new one with all new heroes, villians and a completely new story line.

I don't know if I like that or not but I just want to know what people thought.

Kring added: "We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes."
Emphasis on could!

And,

Kring also confirmed that some of the current heroes just might not survive this season, but added: "Many of your favorites will live to fight again."

Tim Kring reveals: The upcoming second season will constitute a new volume in the multi-volume series, with new characters and an entirely new storyline. "If you remember, the opening of the pilot pronounced the episode as the beginning of Volume One," Kring said in an interview. "Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story." Kring added: "We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model." Kring also confirmed that some of the current heroes just might not survive this season, but added: "Many of your favorites will live to fight again." Source: Sci Fi Wire

I'm sure Peter, Nathan, Matt, Claire, Hiro, Micah and Jessica will probably survive this season.

People aren't understanding right. He's said that there will be new characters and new stories, but that MANY of the current characters will be back. I know for a fact that Hiro will still be around next season.

Basically the idea is that there will be a new villain, and some new characters will join up.

Most will be back, but some are gonna die. That should be completely expected anyway,

Yea I think people are looking at this the wrong way. This series is like a comic book. It could be wrapped up at the end of Season 1 if they wanted to. We already know Hiro and Peter basically take the stage as Super Heroes next season, so it would make sense to add a new dynamic by having a new batch of people come to realize their powers with the help of the old cast. I'm sure that the bomb going off will help trigger that.

It is undeniable that new cast members and new powers will be revealed in season 2. That does not necessarily mean that all the old characters will go away. In fact season 1 is essentially volume one of the 'comic book'. In many comics, especially multi-hero books, character lineups will change from volume to volume but the core group stays intact for the most part. Not worried. The show will still rock.

We all have our favorites, who knows, maybe the younger set of powered characters start thier own team, Micha, Clare, and the Petrelli sons (Nathan's boys).
The possibilites are endless to where this series may go.
They have leaked that Sylar will live on to haunt the next season.

Yeah seriously how do you have a season 2 when most of the main charcters are being killed off. Hopefully the main characters won't be killed off. I don't want any else to be killed off. I'm crying for Mulhender he's still going to narate right? I just love his narration his voice is soooooo perfect for nartaion. hmmmm

I think he just meant it kind of like a sequel to a movie. Like in X-MEN 2 they introduced new mutants, but kept some of the old as well. So I think that's what they are going to do, which is very smart.

Season 2 info is probably the right thread for this. Tim Kring posted a blog on NBC.com 3/6/07 and said that Sylar will be back for season two, and a few other interesting things. Here is a link.

Here's a new contradiction. I read the Kring blog saying Sylar would be back for Season 2, but there's a new update on Spoilerfix.com that says Sylar will be pushed out of a window and will die. The only way both of them can be true (and they most likely are) is if Sylar gets Claire's healing ability, falls out of the window, dies, and then regenerates. This really sucks because this has got to mean that he kills Peter or Claire. Unless there's something I'm totally missing here.

I do not know who is right but I would sure trust the shows' creator over Kristen at E!.

I just thought of something else today, don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. He could die in ep 20 where they're in the future.

Look for lots more Heroic relatives (like Shanti) and family history next season, because I'm told the second season is called Volume Two: Generations, and it's all about the ancestors and descendants of the Heroes we know and love

Hopefully they will intersperse a storyline for the current heroes in with all the history lessons. I think you will see more "one-shot"
eps like 'Company Man' next season.

I hope they do. That episode was one of the best so far.
