I didn't understand. She was off duty, so she put on that school girl outfit.
Is she a dancer, or does she just dress like that normally..?
Yeah, one of the spoilers was a flub because they said there were 2 Phantom Zoners.

Ashley was kinda...horrible. I hated her acting.

I love how easily we can judge a person's acting skills off of two scenes.

She's not the best actress in the world, but her upper body more than makes up for that. I had to rewind it just so i could hear what she said in her scenes, i was hypnotized the first time.

Ashley's acting was pretty good (I personaly liked everything except where she pointed and said "I'll put you in a cage with him" -that seemed a little forced). She's a tough girl working at a fight club. In that respect, confidence and playing up a little with her co-workers might seen natural (she may be tough, but she's still a girl and might still be looked down upon if she doesn't *act* tough too).
If I recall correctly, Athena was the security guard, and got beaten by Lois, but that doesn't mean she wasn't a Zoner... Zoners are dangerous criminals, but that doesn't mean that all have to be invulnerable or super-strong. She could have another power, and with her little performance with Lois it seemed to me that she was pretty smart too.
I seriously doubt that she could have gotten the gas within such a short amount of time, and I don't remember her having a gun on her *before* she left Lois alone.
When she saw Titan and Clark fighting, she looked a little scared, but not in panic. She knew enough to run for her life, but also had a look in her eye like she knew that there was about to be a big, dangerous fight. If she *was* in the Phantom Zone, that means she's know what Titan is capable of, that the guy he was fighting is Kryptonian, and that she could accidently get killed in their fight if she stuck around. It seems to me that she was more scared of seeing Clark there than of Titan...
If the script-writers do this right, we could have an interesting storyline for her... Being a Zoner, if she's dangerous *and* smart it would make sense that she's not flinging her powers left and right if she wants to stay off the radar. Or maybe she just wants to make a life for herself here? If I recall correctly, some Phantom Zone prisoners actualy had a prison sentence and were supposed to be released at some point (then again, that was from an episode of the animated series... ).

Oh come on, thats so farfetched her character ended with the episode. Truth is she's not a very good actor, just good eye candy. And I like many types of candy on smallville.

(1) There's nothing to infer she's a Zoner, except faulty spoilers and a weird Smallville Wikia article (before it was edited, it said something to the effect of "Athena is a Zoner. Actually, there's no reason to think she's a zoner.)
(2) She's not coming back, being a cameo
(3) As I said it another post, why is it that the wrestlers they get are such bad actors? It's what they do for a living.

In the original spoliers for "Combat," There were two Zoners, Titan and Athena. The editor or someone on the show mustve scrapped this idea to just have one Zoner, Titan, and make him kick ass. 2 Zoners would of made the episode seem to crammed and rushed for Clark wouldve had to fight/send both of the Zoners back, and not just Titan. Theres only so much that they can do in the 42 minutes of the show (without commercials).

I think her role in the episode was to bring Lois to Clark. And entertain us in the process =]
I really wasnt too sure about the outfit, is she usually one of those girls who introduces the fighters?
