Could anyone else tell that this was re-writting besides me.

It was like they just threw this together.

Epecially the Lex and Lana.

What about it seemed rewritten/last minute?
Check out some Al/Miles interviews.. it looks like they've been planning this "miscarriage" the entire time.

I really don't think writers/producers are as careless as you think. Their careers depend on how good the show they work on is. I doubt they'd just throw together an episode last minute.

all episodes are filmed about 2-3 months before it airs, or around that time. although production and scenes take most of the time and editting. they've done a great job lately although some episodes just seemed rushed.

The only rewrite was for budget purposes... Lana was supposed to lose her baby in China originally

I kind of figured that Chloe or Lois were going to have a pep talk with him, BUT his mom was the only one who consoled him:\. . .The ONLY NOD in this episode was towards CLANA:mad:. . .Man, I'm getting tired of this crap!

You're correct, I think they just thought the phrase itself sounded funny and felt bad for laughing about a dead fetus.

I just meant....it's wrong to laugh at other misfortunes....but the way you worded it made me laugh. not that you were wrong in what you wrote. Sorry for the confusion.

I think it was because it was like watching two different episodes at once, they didn't flow together other then seeing the Green Arrow on the monitor breaking down security in one of Lex's 33.1 levels. What I felt was hanging was Lois-seeing her lying on the floor, looking dead (though we know she wasn't dead) and she just gets a mention like yeah she had a few scratches, she will be okay, she did not see my powers. It's like they ran out of minutes-would have been nice to see her in the hospital breathing or something, admitting she got herself in trouble

Typically, they film too much for an episode and have to cut scenes. This happens all the time with TV shows, although personally I think the Smallville try to cram too much into each episode. But I thought the structure of this episode was typical. They always have multiple story lines going in epsodes, and the story lines do not always overlap or seem to flow together. It is pretty hard to make the Lex/Lana story intersect with Clark's story unless Clark is doing a scene with Lana. Smallville episodes always seem "crowded" to me, with not enough time to develope stories, this episode was no exception. Some refer to this as "tight" writing.
