seriously! that was HOT. it was very very close. Lois looked quite satisfied with herself too, that she was able to give off and illicit those kind of vibes in her efforts for a story.

how did lois know she was lesbian though?

:lol:All I can say is that they got away with the word "puss, or pussy" to many times for it not to be on FX or my daily week end at the poety corner at 5th and 2nd...And the poem I was reading was CALLED "Hello pussy":\
Anywho:o, puss in boots, puss in red strapping leather, puss in anything really is better said at least with another garmet in the mix
Also:eek: Holy bu-jeuse, I watch this show with my family, I really that they were going to SMOOTCH!.....I'm "ok" with that thing happing, just, my family is homaphobes....I think:\....They just didnt feel the same way about "Broke Back Moutian" as I did:(
I didn't get any enjoyment from that scene, but I'm a girl so...
I feel a bit cheated-like we could have been moving some more important plot around. But I guess they had to give Athena some lines. And a lesbian scene. And a locker scene-a steamy one.

I did, and it hurt the episode a little for me that they didn't. As I said in the Rate This Episode thread, if you're going to do an over-the-top sex and violence episode you should do it right. And if you're going to do a girl on girl flirting scene you should at least let them kiss or have one of them try to do it. I have no problem with girl on girl but that scene shouldn't have been left unless they took it up a notch and had them kiss.
I don't know...How come there are bad lesbian types like Tina Grier and Athena but no bad male gay stalker after Lex? Let's have a steamy scene like that!

I think what really told me she was a lesbian was her saying something like: "I'm a sucker for a girl in boots"

I think a big part of it (to be serious for half a second) is that guy-on-guy while more socially acceptable than it was before is still seen as "weird and uncomfortable" when portrayed on prime time television. Whereas girl-on-girl is pretty much accepted across the board and people that don't like it are generally ignored (as they should be). It's sad but true, perhaps one day it won't be seen as so awful to display two affectionate gay guys on T.V.

Has anyone watched 'Scrubs' after SV was over???
The three gay ex-football players? Married to each other???

I watched Scrubs, and started to mention J.D. and Turk as the only affectionate males on prime time TV, but they don't really count not being gay and all.

if you want to see two guys kissing go watch showtime.
Don't come over here and try to kill the moment. it was hot and even my wife thought so.

Dude they should have! They had like great chemistry and a new ship is always fun. It would help her to get over Ollie.

Did my bisexual heart good to see my lovely Lois getting into a role for the sake of a story.
Explains why Athena wasn't much interested in her 'admirerer' that and that dude was ugly! :P
Lois flirts VERY well just like her modern comics counterpart. (The DC fandom is FULL of Wonder Woman / Lois Lane fans because of the 'vibe' the comic writers purposely put in some slides)
Athena wasn't that attractive to me though, a little too butch, but then that would make sense that she liked feminine Lois.
""I'm a sucker for a girl in boots""
Me too Athena, me too. :)

I like it because I find it attractive. I do not find two guys kissing gross (although I do not find it attractive either.) Some guys are stupid enough to think it's okay for two girls to kiss but not for two guys, but I think the majority of us are okay with both. Nothing's too risky for Smallville at this point, IMO. They need to take more risks, for the story to be more mature. A few people who thought this would always be a family show are gonna whine and cry about it, but they'll either get over it or stop watching. Either way's fine with me.

As I watched the 'almost' kiss I thought "wow, are AlandMiles catering to a certain demographic here or what?"
There are certain femme slashers though who will be thrilled at this.

For once I find this being all I have to say appropriate:
Care explaining why it would have "ruined" an entire series because of *one* kiss?

It's his own opinion. Some people don't want to see Lois kiss another girl and appear to be a bisexual or lesbian. As much as I would have liked to see it, Lois has the same chance of kissing another girl that Clark has kissing Pete.

Yeah, Athena did look like she was likeing Lois too much. I think Lois picked up on that and started to flirt right back, it made Lois look like she was willing to do anything to get a good story.

His opinion is fine, the problem is him assuming that a single kiss would ruin an entire series. That's the lamest idea I've heard in a while.

I've heard a lot of lame ideas/opinions in my life. I've adapted to hearing ones that come from way out in left field. I see your point though.

I really thought they were going to. They practically did. I loved when Lois kicked her butt and said "Actually my dad is proud of me"
