Lionel's power symbol from Zod

Maybe it has something to do with the power symbol Lionel drew...remember that. Maybe he will use Lex to somehow try to recreate Kryptonian power within himself. What else does Lex have to offer, he put up 33.1 and Lexcorp...Lionel said no!! you'll know when the time is right.....what else is there?

I think that was just to let us know what the FOS needed. I bet they won't bring that back up again.
But if you will remember thru out this season he has been looking at something almost everytime someone comes in the room. He always puts it away when someone comes in even if it is clark. I think whatever it is will have a major role for whatever he wants from Lex.

Maybe Lionel has somehow developed Kryptonian powers...he used superhearing to listen to Lex's phonecall with the Doctor and then used X-Ray vision to see into the crypt, to see that the doctor had been killed. nah, thats too far fetched. But there is something going on with Lionel

well I think it goes deeper. I think the Lionel is actually protecting Clark. If Lana leaves Lex for Clark Lex will stop at nothing to take down Clark. Lex is skirting dangerously close to Clark's secret too.

so basically Lex Owes Lionel big. I am guessing that Lionel forees a time where Lex threatens Clark and Lionel will call in his debt.

See, that's what I was wondering. I hope, or at least want to believe his true motives will be revealed by the end of the season.

Not too far fetched.I would not be suprised if that were true.B/c Im thinking how did he know doc was dead and that Lex killed himand where the body was?

Lionel, I believe, was there in the church basement while the talking, arguing, and killing were going on. I saw the back of a man in that scene and I assumed that it was Lionel.

See - I don't see how Lionel can be interpreted as a good guy - he is and has always been out for himself - if he was totally in Clark's corner then he wouldn't be hiding anything from Clark - I think Lionel is building up to what he wants - I'm thinking not a meteor baby but a geneticly altered baby (say a hybred).......the real son that Lionel has always wanted - one that will be strong and can rule the world.

Lex is just a pawn as are all the Smallville characters - but something is going to have to push Lex right over the edge and my guess it's going to be when Lana looses the baby and then a confrontation with his dad and then a final breakdown to pure evil having no one left to confide in (key there was when Lionel pegged Lex as being alone in his office because he had no one).
