First of all, great eppy, the intriuge thickens and Im still trying to find out Lionels agenda. For now, Imgoing with that he cares for his son, but also, he knows that if Lana goes with Clark, Lex will do anything to destroy Clark, even hurt Martha He's not stupid.

The confusion comes to play with the cellar scene, from Clarks view it was:

Clark: Next time you go for a bottle of wine 11 o clock in the morning, go for a red.
Chloe: Im sorry.....

Lanas view

Clark: Next time you go for a bottle of wine 11 o clock in the morning, go for a red.

Chloe: Im sorry, but I'd rather play with a boulder of kryptonite than to....

Why the hell did they make two takings AND made it different? So obvious as well. Big mistake, or with intentions?

And Lionel is NOT evil. he doesn't give a rats ass about Lana, why should he. He protected the two people he cares about, or actually three, Clark, Lex and Martha. And he clearly stated that he thinks Lex is a failure as a son. So my bet is that he is mainly protecting Clark and Martha.

The exact words was "yea, Im so, so sorry. I'd rather be TIED to a boulder of kryptonite than to come down to the ground zero of the Lang and luthor wedding" in the lana view.

In the clark view it was:

"Im so sorry, Lana hid lexs' wedding present down here, and then the door shut"

She told him a damn bible before she even mentioned the door, in the Lana view.

Chloe mentioning Kryptonite in front of Lana, I found that interesting...

Anyway: horrible epi, IMO.

How about the line, "Letting go of Lana was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and if you don't know that, then you don't know me as well as I thought you did."

The second time it was, "Letting go of Lana was the hardest thing I've had to do and if you don't know that, you don't know me very well."

I don't get it, why did they make that error? Too long between shots or what? It should be quite obvious that 80% of the viewers would notice. Since that was a very emotionally and arc important scene.

Shows do make mistakes. It could be just that. I wouldn't dwell too much on it.
