The ending was so sad........his face aww xxxoo clark. When Lana looked back and he was standing there I swear I was tearing up.
now i am starting to wonder if the episode should have ended that way.. It was so evil of Lex to smirk at Clark.

Lex is smirking and Lana and Clark are sulking.....Lionel holds all the cards.
It was definitely sad.
Lana trapped in a car with the man she claims to 'love' but who is really a monster, staring back at the one she truly wants to be with but can't because Lionel is threatening to kill him.
What a twisted web!
That last scene made me cry, though. :(

I was actually laughing..........I am NOT kidding.
That was so ridiculous.
After 6 years Clana still behave like children. And so is Lex.
Lionel was right to slap him, IMO.

I know!! Lex just can't be that oblivious! Lana keeps looking at Clark. Through the whole ceremony she's crying...those aren't happy tears Lex! I never realized how pathetic even Lex is....he knows Lana loves Clark and he just keeps ignoring it. It's smack dab in his face, and he doesn't care because he "won, and got Lana."

it works because they are trying to get away from the campy feel of super heroes where they always win so if they win their super battles they have to loose in life just to sour the victory heroes cant be happy for to long in current stories

It is funny you say the (Inlove with CHOLE) because I was laughing my butt off too. I mean, how could you not. I was sitting in the chair and looked over at my friends and wife and we just started to crack up because the scene was so stupid and the writing of this episode was so drawn out. unrealistic and so far fetched. No person in their right mind would not even check too see if what Lionel said was true. All she had to do was ask Chloe in secret. BOOM end of problem. The fact that she would marry Lex or at least not hint to Clark that she was pressured is retarded and just plain ridiculous. These writers are so bad that this show just drags on like a cheap fricken soup. Lets all watch General Hospital together. It is the same concept after all. WOW! That is all I can say about this pathetic attempt at trying to keep viewers that are and will continue to jump ship on this show. They had weeks to prepare a better effort and this is the best that they have. I would hate to see all the concept or theories that they discarded in place of this. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly! Any rational person would have taken a minute....sat down, and thought about their options. But Lana, always the damsel, throws herself on the bomb when she doesn't have to! The really sick thing is she honestly thinks she is such a great person for doing it. Forget about the fact that she tears Clark to pieces all over again. I'm so sick of watching those two go at it. She promises to meet Clark, never shows...then doesn't even have the decency to hear him out! He's trying to tell her the biggest secret of his life...and she's sushing him, and asking him to leave. You promised to meet him in the loft, and not marry Lex.....at least hear the boy out! That seems to be the way Lana and Clark work though....they put themselves in these crappy situations, then expect everyone to pity them for being there! This episode is by far the worst in the history of Smallville. And no, it's not because I'm not a clana fan. At this point I am a Clana fan....just because I want them to shut up already!

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Lex is acting so stupid for a man who is very manipulative and sneaky.

That's what's so upsetting about SV.... All these so-called huge problems the characters are faced with.......they could be so easily solved by simply speaking to one another.

I thought it was kinda amusing that the roles are now reversed in a way. Lana is lying to Clark to protect him. When Lionel blackmailed Lana, I thought to myself "How do you like it now Lana? Not so easy to tell truth now, is it?"

Is anyone besides me tired of seeing our hero getting crapped on over and over? I'm all for tragedy shaping a man but come on. This poor guy, what is supposed to motivate him to be a hero in the future. What are they gonna do to the poor guy next have Clark back the truck up and run over Shelby!!!
If I was Clark this would be my constant state of mind; 'I save the world and all the people around me even the jerks time and time again how do they pay me back but with a swift kick to the balls and then when I'm struggling and need some support BAM I get hit in the balls again. Man some red kryptonite a couple dozen bank robberies and killing Lex Luthor would sure hit the spot right now."
Please next season just give him like a half dozen episodes where he doesn't get completely crapped on. I'm no Clanna fan as far as them being romantic again but tonight when Lana said she wasn't going to marry lex and she said she would meet him in the loft it was so nice to see him smile.

I know, they always make Clark/Superman get crapped on for some reason. I think it's a make the hero suffer thing. They did the same thing in Spiderman, right up until the end of Spiderman II. They made him get it really bad. Everyone treated him like complete crap.

Clark cannot smile or be remotely close to happiness until he lets go of his childish illusion with Lana and moves the hell on.

I absolutly agree with that its time to move on from Clana romance its been 6 years (i'm all for friendship though), but what i'm saying throw the poor guy a friggen bone, I'd even put up with a few episodes of full on Clana action if he could finally be happy, give him something to fight for besides his strong moral values.

Everyone was/is desperate. Lana is desperate to protect Clark. Lex is desperate to have Lana and beat Clark. Clark is desperate to save Lana and have Lana. Lionel is desperate to humiliate, defeat, take everything away from, and to protect Lex. Martha is desperate because she is so conflicted and afflicted. The doctor was desperate. The only character, that I saw, who was not desperate was Shelby, and he may have been desperate for Clark to stop proposing to him.
Who knows? Desperate people do desperate things, and desperate decisions often are stupid and nearsighted ones.

I'm in sync with that feeling ILWC.. I wanted to slap Lex myself.. of course, I then wanted to sucker punch Clark in his gorgeous stupid face.. what a chump he was last night..

Speaking as a professional who deals with a lot of desperate people in my job, I would say you've hit the nail on the head. This episode was good for the acting, but the plot was insufficient. Even so, it showed how silly people become in tense and emotional situations. All of them were definitely OOC in this epi.

I tend to agree that someone like Lex who picks up on just about every little thing wouldn't notice Lana's sadden expressions during and after the wedding. Than again, he acted totally out of character the whole eppy. He was like of love sick puppy! Are we really to believe that he really loves Lana that much that he's delerious to her emotions....especially toward Clark? That was weird. As someone already stated, "Lionel hold all the cards"!!! Damn! He's back!

That's meteor infective gift....to bring even the strongest of men to their knees and make them look like a love sick puppy. Pretty lucrative it seems.

Bang on Staph! I can't believe there are actually fans out there that said anything good about this episode! Like Planet 9 from Outerspace, this episode will probably win a worst of its kind award!

I don't think this episode was the 'worst of its kind." I rather found it entertaining. There were things that I'd like to change, but overall I like the episode. I do, however, get tired of seeing Clark emotionally wrecked and desperate. That is not a pretty sight. Nor is it encouraging. I personally would rather see kick butt episodes, but even with those episodes, I want to see the human story factored in. Last night was mostly the human factor and next week's epi may be the kick butt stuff. Would be nice to have both in the dame epi.
