If you truly love someone than you wouldn't want them to change...to be what they would/could/should be or whatever, you should love them for who they are. Which Lana clearly does not for Lex.

And I won't get started for Lex's 'true' love for Lana...it's twisted more than anything.

I think Lana's love is for the little bits of honesty that Lex gives her. I also think that feeling of love from Clark doesn't go away, and love she's feeling for Clark is transference to Lex. If she wasn't already in love with Clark, I don't think she would feel anything for Lex IMO.

I think in life there are many levels of love and many types of love. Everyone is unique and every relationship different. And sometimes what we think is love, is not.

This is one of many reasons Lex wants Lana in his life, because deep inside he knows the monster he is capable of becoming and he feels she can save him.

Lana flip flopped a lot between clark and lex ever since ep 100.
I wish she would have made up her mind sooner.

I think they both do love each other but their definitions of love are different. Although, like Lana said, her love for Lex isn't enough, not compared to the love she has for Clark. The clana scene inside the church proved that. When Clark asked her, "look me in the eye and tell me that you'd rather spend the rest of your life with Lex Luthor instead of me", she didn't answer him directly because that would have been a lie. Instead she told him something that was true, "I love Lex"

But after she figures out what Lex did to her, that "love" she has towards him completely diminishes.

then between ep 100 and now, one moment lana loves clark, the next she feels only lex is honest with her, this dilemma to lana is what I call flip flopping.
Lana should have been written by the writers as loyal to lex or loyal to clark, not go between, loving clark and being engaged to lex.
There was plenty of time before the wedding day lana could have called off the wedding because she loved clark more than she loved lex.
yes I know it is a plot device and the writers want us to watch, they want us to eat our hearts out to see clark so happy when lana kisses him and the so crushed with his back to the pillar in the church knowing she married lex.
yes I wish things were different, and until lana died in ep 100, i was actually happy for clark.
currently i am not happy for clark, yes of course I want to see him become superman, but he will become superman in the series finale , not now.
we want glimpses of a hero.
The glimpse I saw was a boy not a man in this episode, and maybe everyone has a child inside of them still in love with there first crush.
But superman is my hero, and I don't want to see my hero down , crushed and back sobbing/moping in the barn.
I want to see clark actively looking for people to save.
I want to see clark actively solving crimes.
I am frustrated with the current marriage of lexana.
Lex and lana never married in comic or movie before, and it makes me unhappy at best.

What KK and MR said is exactly why that relationship won't last. Lex needs lana, he has a twisted since of love for her, a dark twist. Where he thinks he's doing good things and is helping the relationship. But what he's really doing is hurting their relationship. Lex is helping Lana see that she cannot change who Lex is, that he is not the man of her dreams.

I don't know. I've always believed that what Lana Lang sees as "love", I see as weird co-dependency. It's exactly the same she does when being with Clark. Lana cannot stand without having a man next to her and a backup boyfriend just in case. She got herself involved with Lex, short after breaking up with Clark. Then, she tells Lex she loves him, makes him completely mad about her, to the point he's willing to give up everything for her, and then she goes and kisses Clark on her wedding day? I'm telling ya, Lana needs urgent therapy. This girl cannot have a healthy, romantic relationship until she works on her own issues.

I used to be a big fan of Clana because I thought they were meant to be but after a while Clark and Lana's relationship got boring and I started to like Lexana after I saw how he cared about her and how he was willing to sacrifice his whole life for her and he was always supportive of her and he was always there for her and that is what made her fall in love with Lex but there are times when I wish Clark and Lana were together. I didnt want Lex and Lana to get married because their relationship is not meant to last because of the guy Lex is.
