What about that? Clark isn't afraid lana is going to not love him back...He already told her before and she loved him for who he was. Too bad she died.

They shoulda kept that in the story. But I have been imagining the dialogue for weeks now and I wondered how clark could say "I love you lana, I already told you and we got married and you died. So I went back in time and saved your life and you whored urself out to lex while my dad died because of it...so that's why things are the way they are u hot whore."

You know there can only be one giant revelation an episode and the Clark ripping door off, melting the hinges back on and super speeding away filled this episodes quota.

Ah, why bother with an accurate recounting of the history of the show, and events that actually occured.

Nah, retcons are all the rage. Heck, make it up as you go along...as long as none of it is Lana's fault....that what makes a good television show. Absolutely, positively no long term memory.

I have a feeling that saving her life in past episode(forgot its name) and in return Johnathan ending up dead was a waste of time!Because if he hadn't known that Lana was gonna act this way and hurt him,his daddy still would've been alive!Plus,Martha wouldn't be going out with Lionel!I mean you can always find another girlfriend to be so crazy over but you can never replace the father that has helped raised you from childhood! And it's almost like in that past episode that he didn't care about Johnathan's safety but Lana's and look what happened. It all came down to this!!!!!!!!! IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!

Yes but Jonathan is dead in the comics and SM movies. Lana is alive, thats just how the mythology goes.

Anyone else surprised that Clark didn't bring this day up when Chloe asked why he hasn't told her his secret. I mean all you need is this.

Clark: It worked so well last time she was dead by midnight.

I know,I know. But,he here in the show,he gets killed! In the comics,he died of either old aged or health problems! That's what really makes me angry! So they just kill off one of the most important characters in the show like he was nothing! And Johnathan cared about Clark longer than Lana has ever did in her life! I still haven't gotten over it! :( :(

Well if I recall correctly it was more a health related death than murder.

You bring up a good point. Clark knows what happened the last time he told her. He should be mindful of that.

All right. But it's still not fair!!!! Johanthan didn't deserve to die! Due to the choice where Clark rather have Lana alive and then,Johnathan dying later on in the episode is downright irresponsible and heart tearing! I'm little bit mad at Clark for doing that so!!!! And now he knows what it's like to have his heart ripped out by the woman he love or supposedly used to love!!!!Sniff, sniff! I guess that's the price you pay when you make a decision where you choose the person you're in love with over a family member that loved you always. Like I said, you can always find another girlfriend to be crazy over but you can never replace the father that has helped raise you from childhood! And the saddest thing is,I used to like Lana!!:( :(

not just that, what about the fact that lex put lana's life in danger in mortal just to find out the truth & that's when clex's friendship finally ended...i find it interesting that lana has never asked either about why they now hate each other & she has always defended whichever of the two she is with at the time

That would be great! But you know Clark doesn't have the back bone or balls to stand up to Lana like that.

He's not dead in the comics. Not since 1986.

The simple matter of truth is that we fans are all spiteful people. Clark should tell Lana all he has sacrificed for her and alll the retardedness she has caused beginning with Whitney and never ending. In fact you could make some weird argument that she is the reason lex went bad...

But we have to realize that Superman is not a spiteful person...Clark is just immature and still holding on to something he simply cannot have. If Superman was small enough to do such things, he'd probably be small enough to rob banks and use his powers for his own good. Clark is doin pretty well nowadays...but he's still miles away from being superman. What a chump man. hehe

yeah it's weird, the writers are making it so the day when jonathan died never happened, save for jonathan's death...

we already know that lana accepted clark for he is, and yet he is still scared about her being scared of him... and is using that for an excuse? that's bs.

but yea, still love the show haha.

Lana didn't die because Clark told her he loves her and wants to marry her. She died because he told her his secret.

And Clark clearly loves Lana. How would you feel if someone told you it was basically your fault their dad died?
He obviously doesn't want to make her feel like that, so he doesn't say anything. I wouldn't either.
