Yeah I was screaming at my tv. Someone told me that Lionels mathod would be to hurt Lex. Like take everything away from him. Maybe like I dunno tell Lana the huge secret Lex is keeping from her. That way she'll leave Lex and he'll be crushed. I dunno if i think that, but its a good theroy.

It's kind of lame that the only reason Lana marries Lex is because of Lionel's threat. I guess Clark protected Lana, now it's Lana's turn. I think she got shafted.

Lionel made Lex look like a wimp. Lionel definitely needs to be killed by Lex for him to truly become evil. I still am more afraid of Lionel than Lex.

I was soooo...shocked by this. I had really thought Lionel had some twisted good in him. What on earth? What motivation could he possibly have to get Lana to marry him, especially since it's obviously not going to last? I think claiming he could kill Clark is a little extreme--even Lex will have a hard time with that.
I actually expected the whole thing to be a ruse--that during the wedding Lionel would declare that Lana was only there out of blackmail--ridiculing him in front of everyone and causing them to boo him and point their thumbs down.

I'm failry certain that Lionel has detected the near brink that Lex has reached post Zod. He forced Lana to marry Lex because he didn't want Lex going all Kryptonite assault rifle on Clark - as indicated by the "I would do anything response" to the "what would you do for Lana" question.

Basically - Lionel has detected Lex's mental state has deteriorated to the point that he is willing to kill in a jelous rage, and if Lex sets out to kill Clark at this point... he will most likely succeed.
