So, check out Aint it Cool News, and you will see that not only does Linderman have a power....but he's the real cause of the Explosion. The Peter story is basically a distraction.
Other news shows that Linderman will show his powers in ".07%"....basically combined with everything else he's said in Parasite, and the fact that he's a casino owner.....it's a pretty good bet he can "Control the Odds".....which would make sense for him.
ALSO even better, Linderman was part of "an original group of good guys who fell apart". Which is probabaly related to Claude or all of the original Heroes before the company started up.
So what does everyone think about this turn of news? I think it's going to add to the show pretty well...........The fact that Linderman's plan is to blow up NYC to "unite the world" is pretty neat.....His weird laid back attitude fits it pretty well.

I don't believe it.
Linderman doesn't seem like the guy to have a power.

Does the NYC-blowup-to-unite-the-world remind anyone else of The Watchmen?

There was actually some writing that I read yesterday about that....hoping that they don't have to re-write the Watchman movie because if Heroes is going this way it will "ruin" it.
An interesting thing I read earlier this morning was that the ".07%" was actually the number of people that would die in NY when the bomb went off compared to the rest of the world. This makes it even more interesting to wonder what Linderman's power is going to be.

Maybe he has the power manipulation. It has obviously been something that gets him the stuff he wants. For example there was an episode of Smallville where the guy could shack yourhand and have you do what he said.

In "Ask Auselio"
Question: Do you know what Linderman's special power is on Heroes?— Dan
Ausiello: You know what show I miss, Dan? Carnivale. That Ben Hawkins was one fascinating dude. Oh, the things he could do with his mind....
Also in the print TV Guide, Auselio mentioned that Linderman had the same power as a "god-like" character on "Carnevale"

The first involves a young man with strange healing powers named Ben Hawkins, the "creature of light," who joins a travelling carnival when it passes near his home in Milfay, Oklahoma. Soon thereafter, Ben begins experiencing strange dreams and visions, and finds himself on the trail of a man named Henry Scudder, a drifter who crossed paths with the carnival many years before... and who apparently possessed unusual abilities similar to Ben's own. Scudder is eventually revealed to be Ben's father.
...
In the second season opener, Ben meets the mysterious figure known as Management, the heretofore unseen presence that controls the carnival, and gives Samson his often stupefying orders. Management is actually a man named Lucius Belyakov, Ben's predecessor and the previous creature of light. Belyakov shows Ben a vision of the first atomic test near Alamogordo, N.M., and tells him that the devastating explosion he's just witnessed is "the final link in a chain of events that is unfolding even now. YOU must break that chain." The only way to do that, Belyakov tells him, is by destroying the preacher Ben sees in his visions.

Avataric Abilities:
...
Exercise of a power can be trying on an Avatar (e.g. Ben's nosebleed after astrally projecting). Examples of observed powers:
...
Spiritual healing drawing energy only from the Avatar, unlimited in scope (e.g., Ben uses this in a Light manner many times first with the mother and dead child, later with the grandfather pimping his granddaughter.
...
Resurrection requiring the deliberate transfer of one human life for another (only Ben has clearly exhibited this ability).
Divination of an object's location or direction of travel (e.g., Ben Hawkins looking for Scudder after being abducted by Stroud).
...
See through another's eyes (e.g., Ben looks through Stroud's while he is driving).
Astral projection to remote locations (e.g., Ben projecting to the hotel room).

By now we have all seen that Linderman is a healer, thanks to clips released on Heroes official Myspace.
I am very interested to find out if Lindermans' ability has a downside like Bens'. Taking life to give life and all that. That would be a cool dynamic if it were the case.

Hopefully Isaac's life is taken to give Peter life. And yes this is very much like the Watchman. Many things are actually. Gabriel Gray was a watchmaker like his father before him. Then he became a godlike creature like Jon Osterman who was a watchmaker turned god. The whole destroy to unite (Rally Around the Flag Effect).
