Has anyone been to a wedding where the bride threw the bouquet from the steps of the church? That would be silly, because the bride would have held her bouquet for no more than the length of the ceremony.

With any wedding I have been at, the bride throws the bouquet at the reception when everyone has been good and lubricated by vast quantities of alcohol. Throwing the bouquet at the church is a fairytale reserved for movies, TV and bridal magazine photoshoots.

I think I've figured out the series of events involved in the boquet catch. It will be flying right towards and Clark, panicking, will exlaim "this is a job for Su- I mean Clark Kent!" and whip out his superbreath to blow it away from her, all the way to whereever the hell Lois is hiding. She'll be thinking "what the hell?" and Clark will be thinking "Ha! No way Lionel!"

And...in another thread on the K-site an extra who was part in the church for wedding sequence says that Lana hesitates in saying "I do" as Clark rushes into the back of the church. Then she looks him in the eye and turns to Lex and says "I do".

In the Vancouver Province Fri Feb2 KK interview the reporter saw the scene as the happy couple go to leave the church and bride toss the bouquet.

Sounds like a successful wedding to me.

IMO, I'm glad Lois won't be in this angst filled episode and I'm glad that Clark Kent will witness his first love marry another man. Yeah!!!!!

Lana sees "their moment" and gets jealous, but then has to remind herself that she's married to Lex now. Lana throws the bouquet over her shoulder and then BAM Chloe catches it! Chloe and Clark search each other's eyes while the beautiful, romantic music plays on.

Wow... so many votes for EDLois and her anvils. But what TPTB failed to inform you of is that all the anvils from "Crimson" literally pounded EDLois so far into the ground she came out in China and as a result she's missing the wedding entirely.

So it's going to be Chloe who catches it. The men aren't eligible and neither is Nell because she's already married. Since its only been a year since Bo's death and she is out in public it would be unseemly for Senator Kent to try for it and thankfully Lana will not be in the running either. So that leaves exactly one person in the entire cast eligible to catch the boquet and that would be Chloe.

Well Craig was on the set for PROMISE and has said posted somewhere in one of these SPOILER threads that THIS IS LOCATION that the wedding was filmed at in Vancouver. I've also seen the Vancouver Province article that mentioned it when they were interviewing KK. Ok, I know some people desperately doesn't want Laxana to get married, but IT'S DONE! It's been filmed, Craig saw it himself, there were interviews from there and then, KK was throwing a bouque, insiders saw her saying YES! We're rarely given SO MANY spoilers from different sources all pointing to one thing!

But, oh, there's a hope, because of a prop flashed briefly on screen couple of weeks earlier. Because Smallville is always consistent with what was made by prop dept who doesn't necessarily know what's going to happen in the show in a month. For that consistency and to fool non-Clana fans they filmed wedding scene, but those who made a cap of the prop from a month ago have a hint that Clana love will survive!!

There's not many real choices since we know the only viable female regulars are Martha and Chloe. (Lois gone, Lana doing the throwing)

I love more Martha time since I've been feeling seriously deprived of our kindly Mrs. Kent's presence this season, so I guess I would lean towards having her be the one to catch it. She's such a marvelous actress too that it's always fun to watch her expressions during quirky events; she never has much dialog but her face conveys it all! :)

Realistically though I think it will be Chloe. She's young, which seems to be a lil' more traditional as the catcher, and she's the maid of honor, so I could imagine Lana first looking into the crowd for Chloe and then aiming for the throw (except, now that I think of it, considering her throwing inaccuracies in Magnetic and Freak, perhaps if she aimed at Chloe it would actually [i]lessen[\i] the girl's chances. ;)

Also, there is more room for drama that way since Chloe has in effect two love interests. I think AlMiles could not resist a moment where Chloe catches and looks to Clark for a fairytale moment --as some others have speculated-- followed by maybe Clark teasing her gently/sadly about Jimmy?

I am still confused about which direction Chimmy is heading. Is Jimmy in this ep for sure?

That's the thing - no one knows. According to a recent interview, even AA himself does not know!!! TPTB seem to be improvizing here... All we know is that AA was in 9 epis. His contract was extended from 7 to 10 appearances. So theoretically he could appear in one more epi this season...

I liked Jimmy in Hydro and in Crimson ALOT but I've suffered through his scenes previously and afterward. I hope TPTB pull a Lollie-breakup for Chimmy, sans the pop music. Last minute, un-Fotw or Freak of the Season-related, but final.

Since I've liked Jimmy's little bro dynamic with Lois, I hope his last episode is not Promise but rather Prototype or another Lois investigating episode. I like their scenes and there have been few overall.

The girl who catches the bouquet has to sit in a chair as the man who catches the garter has to put the garter on the woman who caught the boquet and everyone laughs and giggles about it. :P

You can be SURE that won't happen on Smallville though.

Martha catching theboquet is a possibility but it seems weird to me. Nell wouldn't because isn't she still married? Only unmarried women usually participate in the boquet catching. So I'm going with Chloe, only female on the show left after we cross Lois, Nell and Martha off the list . . .

Don't worry, I'll keep checking his website to see if they've updated it yet:confused: You know considering that Promise airs next week, you would think that they would know whether or not he will appear on that episode. Yes, I am wondering about a possible dream sequence...it doesn't mean the wedding is not going to happen....but maybe in the episode Clark, for example, is "imagining" the wedding before it actually happens.
