I think mister Linderman has some special power of his own. The fact that Mr. Linderman knows about the Petrelli's special abilities leads me to conclude that he may have special abilities of his own that gives him insight into people. Why else would Mr. Linderman have ownership over a useless sword that Hiro needs to control his power, and why else would he hire a head case like Nikki for "shady" assignments? The only other conclusion is that Mr. Linderman has some ties to HRG's organization which seems unlikely because Mr. Bennet does not strike me as a criminal like Mr. Linderman. Even though Dr. Suresh appears to be dead, he will return with the help of Hiro's power once the heroes get together and realize that Dr. Suresh might be able to cure their conditions.

No. Just... no.

"Why else would Mr. Linderman have ownership over a useless sword that Hiro needs to control his power...?"

The sword is not useless. It is an ancient sword used by a famous warrior. It may be useless to him, but it's valuable... and Mr Linderman is a rich man who seems to collect many valuable goods.

"The only other conclusion is that Mr. Linderman has some ties to HRG's organization which seems unlikely because Mr. Bennet does not strike me as a criminal like Mr. Linderman."

Mr. Bennet does not own the organization. He is just a pawn who follows direct orders (as he said in episode 17). When given the job in a flashback, he even said he'd do things that are in the "morally gray" area, because his boss told him he'd have to. So the proof is all there that Mr Bennet is perfectly capable of being a criminal. Additionally, if abducting people isn't a crime, then what the heck is it?

Your argument is severely flawed. Better luck next time.

1. Mr. Bennet has stated that there is no cure because their abilities are a part of their genetic structure. He's been researching this for 15 years longer than Suresh.

2. Linderman in Heroes represents the omniscient figure pulling all the strings. He has no power and if he did, it would not be insight. He's simply a mob boss trying to reap in a profit in any way he can....or whatever his motives are.

3. To add on to the fact that Linderman has no powers of insight, several characters in the show have alluded to destiny being the force that pulls the Heroes together.

4. Mr. Bennet is a criminal. Is he one of the good guys? Yes. But he still takes part in criminal activities for a criminal organization. He took part in cover-ups, abductions, and even attempted homicide.

5. If Linderman had an ability, why would he devote himself to abducting and experimenting on others with abilities? He has nothing to gain and if he is found to be behind the abduction and torture of several people, he could lose everything. He has nothing to gain by abducting people with abilities if he has one himself. He would more likely use tactics like blackmail, brainwashing and threats to have the Heroes work for him. I still feel that he plays a huge part in the organization but his involvement would not be likely if he had powers.

6. That's it. Good day, sir.

linderman with abilities gives the show 2 problems
1 every new character will wind up with an ability an the show will become unrealistic and boring(not that flying men is realistic)

2 linderman is the criminal who is virtually untouchable and pulling all the strings,to give him an ability takes away from how powerful and knowing he is as a mob boss.

as for the company idk but he probably does have somthing 2 do with them

nice try

Go to HeroSite's news page...Malcom McDowell (Linderman) gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly. Does he have powers? (Highlight to read...) According to him, yes. The title of the first episode back from the break, episode nineteen, ".07%," is said to have an "ominous significance."

Actually check out Ain't It Cool news. You'll see that not only does Linderman have a power...HE is responsible for the bomb....basically they're making peter think he's doing it as a "distraction".....and that Linderman was part of the same crew as Claude ;) I think it's a pretty neat twist.
