Why are all the parents involved?

So now we know Nathan's and Peter's mom is also involved...I mean she knows about all the powers and she is the bigger power saving Claire...but wht does this tell us?
Hiros dad is also involved, does this mean Hiro's adopted too? He knew that Hiro would also develop a power? And if parents know, like Nathan's mom, that means they have powers too? Then why in the first episode, I think it was, that she shoplifted? Her husband definitely had powers...
The whole older generation is tied togethar, Linderman, Nathans mom and Hiros dad...and maybe Mohinders dad 2!
I think on Wikipedia or somewhere I read that Heroes is definitely going to have 5 seasons...I just cant wait till April!

what im guessing is that its a gene thing meaning that every1 with an ability passes it to there children. so id figure some of there parents have abilities, but i dont think they all do, like mohinder didnt get an ability but his sister had one and his dad didnt either as far as we know.

We know all these folks are involved but we are not sure of everyones' motives or affiliations just yet. The only one we can be sure of is the 'Company' and Thompson.

Is Linderman with the company or on his own?

Is Angela Petrelli affiliated with Linderman or Mister Nakamura, or both, or neither?

i think that some people dont have 2 have parents with powers.though i really do think either mr. or mrs. petrelli have abilities and hiros dad might,i doudt mohinders parents had powers cuz if his dad did he could use them 2 prove his theory and his mom played a very small roll who i doubt we`ll c again

We know that Nakamura was with the 'Company' 15 years ago but who is to say he is still with them now. It is possible that he Has been trying to hide Hiro from them for a while and in doing so allied himself with the Petrelli's

i think that nathans dad had powers and not just any powers but claires powers because he tried for years to commit suicide but wasn't able to and as mrs petrelli said he got his wish one day. she also said that he had "delusions of grandeur(magic)" so i think that claire inherited her powers
