It looks like the two meet if you look closely in the trailer. If they do, wont that cause a rift? He wanted to avoid being seen by himself when he talked to peter, but why not now?

totally off the top of my head but the first time future hiro was comming back from the future, where as this time hiro came to the future from the present. so im guessing that has something to do with it.

From my limited knowledge on the subject meeting yourself while time travelling is never a good thing. Rifts and paradoxes and such. Although time travel isn't exactly an exact science and is bound by different rules in several different mediums so maybe it'll be okay. Maybe future Hiro will teach Present Hiro to better control his power and useful sword technique

Maybe present Hiro doesn't know about rifts yet and future Hiro only knows about them because when he was present Hiro he met future hiro.

No he knew. When ando asked why he went to peter instead of present hero in an earlier episode, present hiro said it could cause a rift

The theory about causing a rift when someone meets his future/present self is something we have learned from another science fiction movies but Heroes can change that if they want to.

Time travel discussions make my head hurt too;)

I cannot imagine the rules that bind Heroes time travellers, because almost anywhere you look the rules change.

This should bake everyones noodle:

Present Hiro meets Future Hiro and learns the rules of time travel, when Present Hiro return to the present, he goes back a little too far and meet Past Hiro in an online Star Trek chatroom on the merits of time travel. :D

Or maybe Hiro learned about rifts from his father, who is in fact really Mister Sulu travelled back in time.:lol:
