Peters' dreams and the dream power

It seems that in Peters' dreams he is usually experiencing the events through someone elses perception.

The night he dreamed of flying, he was actually experiencing flight through Nathan who had just flew for the first time that we know of.

Could it be that in his dream of exploding in NY, that he was actually seeing it through the eyes of Sylar or Ted.

Remember if he did in fact inherit some sort of dream power from Deveaux, which is highly likely, Deveaux did dream of flying with or as Peter, He told him as much.

I just want to point out to everyone that Peter had his first dream BEFORE HE EVER MET THE DEVEAUXS. The night he graduated from nursing school was the night he had his first vision, which was of Nathan's accident. Peter didn't meet Deveaux until at least a few days later.

Peter's powers are based on empathy, and his dreams are probably a part of this power. He had a pretty strong emotional link to both Nathan and Deveaux, so it's likely that his empathic powers would allow him to connect to them through his dreams.

I think these "dreams" play a big part on understanding what´s happening to the heroes...
the moon eclipse suggests this "hiding into a shadow" or the unconcious, the fact that nikki/jessica switch from conscious to unconscious, the haitian power of blocking minds and his power to "erase" people´s memories, sylar method of "unlocking" or "understanding" how these people abilities work only by examining their brains... and the boy Mohinder found in India, that was able to telepathically contact him during dreams.
the sudden appearance of people all over the globe that somehow have crossed the line of evolution, certainly is no mere coincidence.

i like the theory that he inherited the dream power. but i do think they are actually connected to his power of empathy. By the way i watched the preview for episode 19 and i was wondering about claires appearance, my first instinct was that that could have been future claire. Possibly? maybe? it mite be dum

How do we know that Simones dad was not the one whom Peter got the dream power from? we don't know anything about him aside from him owning the building that is SO IMPORTANT TO EVERYTHING!

Not to mention that we never saw him dead. Simone just said he was. Even Peter never saw him dead or went to the funeral.

I had a theory a while back before tonights episode aired that the Prophetic Dream Powers peter has came from his mother. I think after watching tonight I believe this even more, considering she said something about knowing this was all going to happen long before they did. So I think that is the origin of the dream power, and perhaps because of his empathic power he sees them through other people's perspectives, but perhaps his mother just sees the future through a 3rd person perspective, I guess we shall just wait and see.

I think peter's mom gave him the prophetic vision power.

It does maybe seem a bit empathic but if I remember correctly he dreamed about Claude before he ever met him.

Most likely the explosion will be someone else like ted or sylar.. probably ted.

They better start comparing notes with Mom.

In the previews Peter says he was the bomb! So that has to kill alot of the theories that it was someone else.

Peter getting the prophetic dream power from his mother would fit very well.

His mother has always seemed to know information she shouldn't, and she has had a goal oriented motivation for herself and her family that could imply she has a vision of what "should" happen.

Epsisode 1, HRG was riding with Suresh, asked him if Suresh was a commomn name over there, like Smith or Anderson. That cant be a coincidence.

Peter's empath powers was weird tonight. It seems that Simone's father can sense out the potential within someone like if they are "special." But he also knows Peter was on the roof with him but not visible to him.

Could it be that Peter's empath powers have merged with Hiro's time travel powers?? he now not only can see thru another perception, but also exist in the past?
