Well obviouly he knows more about HGR than we do and knows that he ain't the one to **** with ya' know...so we just need to wait to find out how badass HGR is for real..

for like the first 3 episodes they never said his name so everyone called him " the guy in horn rimmed glasses" which got shortened to HRG

Claude sounds like a guy who's been betrayed a lot. I think he got upset when he felt like Peter had done that to him also. He was also afraid of HGR and needed to run. I sort of understood it. He's always been a little 'I take care of myself'...
