I agree, Lana looked completely unconvinced by Lex and his promises. At least TPTB have decided to restore Lana's ability to think. I just hope it continues.

As for Lex, I love it! The change to complete evil is very close to being complete.

When Lex lies to Lana, it's as if he's speaking to a child. His entire approach to her this ep was completely infantilizing, and while Lana was willing to call Clark on his b.s. excuses while they were dating, it seems with Lex she's discretely testing him, trying to see just how far down the rabbit hole he's willing to go with his lies. It's clear he doesn't give her much credit intellectually.

The way she handled the gun and the Tobias situation, along with finding the bullet and presenting it to Clark seemed very un-Lana like. She's been like Columbo these past few weeks, which is cool.

I liked it better when Lex was just upfront with Lana even though he might not have totally revealed to her his full plans. She's always seemed to be supportive of his "research" thinking it will help in the long run so I don't really get why he needed to start lying to her now. Guess it's part of his totally converting to the evil side.

I like it that Lana ain't buying it anymore. She knew that he was lying through his teeth after he swore on his unborn child's soul. I wonder if Lex knows she's not buying it. I'm guessing that she's not leaving him until she has a plan to get out without getting killed or putting others in danger. Because if she leaves now, she will end up in the same manner as she did in Reckoning.

Perhaps. But, maybe her plan is even bigger and more altruistic than that. Maybe she wants to stop Lex. Lana and Lex head to head. Both would lose, and the question might be who survives intact with the least collateral damage.

I think Clark will prevent Lana from dying. Otherwise there was no point to killing off Jonathan instead of her in Reckoning (though if you ask me there shouldn't have been a death, but that's another subject).

i was thinking...wow he didnt even swear on his own life...shows how much lex loves himself...foreshadowing how self involved he actually is.......and the way he said it...and the look in his eyes...made u really believe that hed sacrifice anything and anyone to get what he wants....including his own child.
