I agree he did not pinch the bullet, but it looked like he pinched it.
I did think about the fingerprint anyway.

But what worried me was that I like Lana protecting clark's secret.

I dont think tptb will go down the fingerprint road. I think what this episode did was strike off "meteor freak" from Lana's list of possibilities for Clark....leading her toward his alien origin.

She has all the clues and i really hope we have an episode where she recalls previous events as she comes to the realization that Clark is really Kal-EL. She has heard him called Kal before (back when he ran away as RedK Clark), she knows about kryptonians and Fine's ship, she knows that they were looking for a "Kal-El", she knows they are weak to green meteor rock, she put together her theory that another ship "landed" during the first meteor shower ect ect.

I think all these and more that i havent listed should help her finally put it all together...but thats just me =P

I also don't want her to learn from a fingerprint. Even if she does find out it's his print, she would still know that he's not normal, but not know what he is yet.

The fingerprint thing has always been a loophole in Superman stories, how many times has a plane been crashing to its doom, then suddenly rights itself, and when they land the pilots find a handprint pushed into the metal underneath the wing/fusilage? Superman is almost unique among the "Capes" in that he doesn't wear gloves, part of the subconcious "up front" image he projects by not wearing a mask I think. It does however mean that there should be fingerprints on death rays all over the world, which should then be able to match against civilians. Bottom line, forget about the whole fingerprint issue unless you want to open a debate about how good a disguise a pair of glasses REALLY is...

Well that is why I'm hoping there won't be a storyline with fingerprints. Instead, I want to see one based on Clark's adoption as I linked to above. That would be an awesome way to do it and as I showed it is entirely possible without creating plotholes.

well she's starting to put 2 and 2 together...and she keeps getting thrown all over the place...clark is lying to her..he has to...but she keeps finding reasons to believe he is KRYPTONITE INFECTED...shoot IF she finds out...she'll be even more astonished that he's...not from earth haha...

since METEOR INFECTED means your HUMAN but with abilities...but clark is the only ALIEN besides those lil guys from the phantom zone.

And Lana knows nothing of the PZ. The only thing she knows about anyone who came from there may be Aethyr (I doubt Nam-Ek will be back since I heard the guy who plays him is on another show now). But she knows nothing of where they went. Yet anyway.

That is why I'm hoping she starts looking into Clark's adoption. As my possible path to Lana finding the secret shows:

Lana knows that Clark was the one who intervined and stopped the bullet. Lana: "Something pretty powerful [stopped it]" Lana knows that Clark is different, shes just waiting for him to tell her or to get clearer evidence to present to Clark to make him tell her.
