Thank you.

Thank you TPTB, thank you for superbreath, x-ray, heat vision, everything.

But you're all stupid a-holes for making us wait 13 episodes for superbreath.

I think the writers knew theyve been holding back on Clarks use of powers in the past episodes so this was are reward. Good things come to those who wait. Lets just hope the remainder of the season takes full advantage of Clarks powers!

Clark used a lot of his powers this episode. Superbreath, Heat vision, invulnerability, super speed. Overall good eppy with his powers.

The only thing that worries me is that Combatīs budget may be hurt by this, I love the scene, dont get me wrong, But I much rather get a Superpowers combo in Combat.

True, but Promise might have nothing in it and Trespass was light on the effects as well. They make up for it in episodes that don't have many effects.

Well, so lets say, that some of Trespass budget went to freak, and some of promise will go to Combat, sounds good??... Good

Hope your right.

No, he used all of his powers.

Superjump isn't an ability all it's own, but an extension of his super strength (super legs!).

Lionel's master plan? We haven't seen a damn thing about that since Reunion or Arrow. Whatever he is up to, he doesn't have to worry about anyone bothering him. I'm pretty sure he found the FOS from that Luthorcorp jet's blackbox beacon signal that crashed right by it. And who knows what he's doing inside. I'm guessing he's building the Eradicator.

It would be something if he does build it and causes all sorts of chaos that makes Lex justified to use his army and seals the deal with his evil path. And the funny thing would be that it wouldn''t be because of Clark (an alien, which we know Lex would stop with his army), but because of Lionel---only Lex thinking it was an alien. So Lex would solidify his quest to be totally evil because of something Lionel is up to and Lionel would have contributed to Lex's final fall into total darkness.

I was so glad. I have been waiting for it since the second episode. You think they would have put it in more often than they have. Excellent scene for an excellent episode!!!!

Super Breath for the first time since "Sneeze"? Sweet! This episode rocked hardcore and totally made up for the poor "Trespass".

meteor_phreak
02-16-2007, 10:21 AM
imo, you're half right. this episode rocked hard, and the super breath scene was a big reason why for me. but i thought trespass was really good. this episode was better though.

What super breath scene?

AshyLarry

"Trespass" was awful most of the way through, in my opinion. TPTB have this episode almost once a year it seems like and the villain was to easy to figure out. Not to mention how boring it was. The Clark-Lana scene at the end and the Clark-Lex scene gave it a notch above totally awful "Freak" was a home run, though. Michael Rosenbaum did an excellent job directing for his first episode.

When Clark was questioning the doctor about Tobias. He used super breath to blow some papers on the ground to distract him while "borrowing" his lap top.

I sorta give trespass a predictability pass, because the villain wasn't the point of the episode. the main point, to me at least, was what lana sees about clark, or how she interacts with him. and to tell you the truth, most of the villains in the six year history of this show have all the plot depth of a scooby-doo rerun.

Exactly. Maybe it's just me, but one scene that involves Clark using his powers to blow "papers" of all things doesn't rate high on my "excite-o-meter". Sorry...but to each his own.

Sorry...but to each his own. i liked it because he used his brain and not one but TWO of his powers at the same time. the clark from even as late as justice simply wasn't smart enough to think that well. not to mention, hey, it's SUPER BREATH. How exciting did you want it? verdict: it counts.

This was the type of scene we got to see virtually every episode of Lois and Clark, and we haven't seen once on Smallville. So yeah, it's exciting, because it's a classic Clark Kent using his powers in a covert way moment. And it's superbreath for the first time since Season 6 Episode 2, so exciting x2.

Agreed. Each episode this year (including "Trespass") have gotten me even more excited for the next episode. Too bad we have to wait a month for it.

I read on E! Online that Michael Rosenbaum's contract has one year left and then he's gone, but other cast members have longer contracts. What do you think this means for the show?

MidgardDragon
02-16-2007, 11:40 AM
I think it means Season 7 will definitely be the last. Smallville is pointless without Lex, IMHO. Unless they change focus of the show to Clark journeying around the world or something.

This episode was a nice breath of fresh air in the powers department. Was definately beginning to get a little irritated with Clark not really using his powers this season. I know its a budget thing but a lot of Clarks super powers seem to be "lesser" effects.

Im still waiting for another big display of super strength like previous seasons. Stopping cars, catching cars, throwing tractors ect ect. Still, "Freak" was very entertaining in the effects department!
