Well, there's one. Where was Tobias in the bowling alley?
Ha, never mind....they switched it around.....there he is.

It was more fuzzy in the aired version. There was more Tobias in the DC.
There was a scene in the Director's Cut that showed him scoping out the entire bowling alley where it would have been impossible for him to have missed Chloe. I guess they took that out to make it possible for him to say that Chloe is a freak.

Do you think the scene from the director's cut that showed Tobias scanning the entire bowling alley for freaks is still implied or that it was taken out because they wanted to make it possible that Chloe is a freak?
I'm guessing that since Clark was ducking (allowing him to appear to be closer to Chloe's height), it was done on purpose for Tobias to think Chloe is the freak. But I think they're doing this as a ploy since he really saw Clark as a freak but mistook him for Chloe, and they took out the bowling alley scanning scene to make it possible to fool the fans. If that scene is still implied, then Chloe can't be a freak. And wouldn't he scan the entire alley just in case? I'm thinking it has to be Clark.

Director's cuts are more like dailies (rough versions without post-production). There only nice when the scene shown is an emotionally driven scene.

There was the whole section where Tobias said "she's infected" and it shows Chloe sleeping in bed and then awoken by the kidnappers...that wasn't in the real episode. :(

Like I said in another thread, I think these were left out of the episode to make us speculate. It could be that Chloe is a freak, or that they will later reveal it to to have been Chloe, but for him to have mistaken Chloe for Clark while he was bending & getting his glasses. I know he had a good look at Clark before he bent over, but don't forget how they changed the house explosion scene in Gone to make it appear that Chloe could have survived the explosion, because in Covenant the way they showed it, there was no way she nor Gabe would have lived. So I think anything is possible, and this is good since it makes her & her fate more interesting (just like the insanity possibility). Go writers!!

I wondered about that. When Tobias's glasses fell off, Clark was really in his face. IMO, he would have to see through Clark to see Chloe. Also, I did not get the impression that Tobias was looking around. I felt like he was staring directly at Clark. I think he "might" have mistook Chloe for Clark. Then again, I may not be remembering that particular scene too clearly. Who knows.

Either way, based on that house explosion scene from Covenant and the revised one from Gone, it just goes to show that they could change anything and revise it later. So anything's game.
