Recycled Actors & locations (spoilery if you haven't seen the director's cuts)

The director's cuts shows a freak detecting freak who looks a lot like Jake Pollen, aka Gill Boy from Extinct. He is with some guy who looks a lot like Dr. Hydecker from that Supernatural episode Something Wicked (with the Shtriga who puts those kids in the hospital).

Also, the bowling alley is definitely the one from Stray. I think the alley's actual name is Lois Lanes. I read that over at a website.

A lot of shows do that. They reuse guest actors who had a minimal part over and over again. I didn't even notice it. I guess you would only if you're looking for it, but the average viewer wouldn't know the difference.

I don't mind them using the same actors. Just pointing it out for those who think that some faces look familiar.

I thought the same thing when I saw Raya in Zod and Fallout. I knew she was already used. It doesn't bother me or anything, I just wonder who else notices these things.

oh, i once noticed a guy they used in the first season, that they reused in the 4th season. both times, he is playing the same type of person, but has too different names.

if i remember it right, it the jock from "shimmer" and the jock from "spirit"(the prom episode)

I guess they have extras they reuse because, first they (producers) know these actors and probably don't have to do a large casting call -they are in the background and not too noticed.

and 2nd-in Vancouver, I wonder how many actors there are to do minor extra type work in the area. (I honestly don't know). Main parts, when needed, can be cast in L.A. , etc. but, I can't see flying and putting up an actor for 1 or no lines, too expensive. So, I figure for backgrounds, a few lines, etc. the producers probably have a list of local actors that they (producers) don't have to bother interviewing and can just call when they need scenes with other persons. It definitely cost less and well the CW is not known for spending the big bucks..
