Talk about opportunities you saw where they could have done better things in this episode.

I think they could have slightly improved this great episode by having Clark also save those freaks marked for death and had him help start a secret society of freaks against 33.1.
I thought Lana's baby would be idenfied as a meteor freak by Tobias accidently. Maybe there would be some confusion whether it was Lana or the baby.

Wow. There's something I never thought about. Perhaps another reason they took out the director's cut footage of Tobias scanning the entire bowling alley.

yeah i agree i wanted the baby to be involved. And the fact that they have a whole drawn out scene with her and Tobias and he doesn't remove his specks is wasteful.

Well considering "Promise" was already shot and it was confirmed that Lexana said "I Do" the idea of Lana finding out her baby was a meteor freak might have ruined the whole wedding scenario.

lios cant find out cuz she dosnt know in movies, if clark saved everyone it would waste shows minutes and made it less intresting, how would lanas baby be infected, and i think its better chloe was the one infected....haha sry not to bash on everyone but thats what i think, to make the ep better to me would be that clark was far away from chloe and flew to her to save her

I would have had a Chlark kiss after the caressing of the arm and the look he gave her....it was right there...a perfect opportunity!

Tptb always have to take us to the edge of the cliff without jumping over, I am used to how this show loves to tease the Chlark shippers but there was great Chlark interaction in anycase.
i think the episode would be cooler if chloe and clark found out the connection that lex has with the experiments since the doctor said that there may be luthor corp connections in the files on the computer.

<people sitting in circle in a community hall>
Brian: My name's Brian, and I've been a meteor freak since I was eight years old.
Everyone else: Hi Brian.
Brian: I can grow my fingernails twice as fast as everyone else. Tried to tell my parents, but they didn't understand me. I met Mr. Luthor... he seemed so nice... but...
Group Leader: Go on, Brian.
Brian: He made me bite them... everyday! <breaks down, crying>
Group Leader: Well done Brian. And don't be ashamed here, we all hate 33.1, don't we?
Everyone else: Down with 33.1!
Sorry, I tend to have J.D-like daydreams from time-to-time. :) Moving along...
There was quite a bit in this episode, so missed opportunities would be scarce. Tobias fighting in the dark, further development with Lex, the look on Lana's face when she's told Clark is normal, Clark effectively using combinations of his powers, Oliver's limo at the end, etc. I suppose it would've been nice to hear something, anything, about Chloe's former truth-serum ability, or Clark glowing a different colour to everyone else. Oh, or Clark "accidentally" not using his x-ray vision strong enough and sees more of Chloe's birthmarks...:D

yeah, mention of her previous meteor-abilities. and explanation of what she meant by "i've been exposed to more meteor rock than anyone in this town." better wording would have explained how she's just now getting exposed...

I would have liked more flow between the scenes, a seamless transition within the story as it progressed. It was a bit choppy in certain spots. Bad, good or indifferent I will give Rosenbaum a pat on the back for taking his best shot at it though.
I’m sure it was a rewarding experience with lessons learned on keeping all those balls in the air.
Storyline improvements would be, for Lana to have been the meteor freak as well as the baby; I would’ve loved to have seen Lex’s face when he heard that one, then I could understand the swearing on his child’s soul. That would have been traumatic for him as well as torment. He would be over the edge with that news.

Too many characters were stupid in the episode. Clark and Chloe are stilling unwilling to tell Lana that Lex is evil. Tobias actually thinks that Lex wants to help meteor freaks. After Chloe's abduction, Clark fails to take charge. He just wants to pretend that nothing happened. Chloe had to take charge when it came down to the wire. If Luthercorp decided to kill all the meteor freaks at the end, then there should have been a hit team after Chloe. Lana suddenly knows that Clark is going around saving people every day. When did she come to this realization? The only direct evidence she had was the wood chisel/tool from the barn, and now that is gone. She should be suspicious, trying to find out more, but she should not be certain at this point.

They told her enough times that he is evil. She wasn't willing to believe it in Static that there was a 33.1 and that Lex was behind it. She will have to learn for herself, which she is, and I'm glad about that.

Given Tobias' lastname, it would've been fun, if they had connected him to DC character Todd Rice (AKA Obsidian) and have Tobias be Jim Rice's (Todd's alcoholic foster father) nephew. Then they could've mentioned Todd at some point; Tobias mentions, he's considering moving to his "cousin" (actually, his uncle's old foster child), in California. Or have Clark, at the end of the episode, mention that once Tobias has got his eye sight back, he'll move to his "cousin" in California, "some guy, named Todd."
