I don't get it, they introduce new characters with abilities and then Syler comes along and steals them, this is the only annoyance of the show I dislike.

Apart from that there's a flip side to it, because it sets up the challange for the next season.

This season it looks like the show's main arc is about stoping the explosion, so mabey next season will be about Stopping Syler.

Any thoughts on this?

well it makes sense that they would only introduce the heroes that contribute to the show rather than everyone especially since they would just end up dead after you got attached to them, and you would be like "what the hell was the point of that"

Powering up Sylar by giving him new abilities is what has been going on all season. Using useless guest heroes to do it seems to be the M.O. for this i.e. Iceman, Melto the Magnificent, and The Ear (soon enough). Charlie the waitress could be included but she was part of an arc not just one and done. Sylar is being set up to be the ultimate villian for years to come <crosses fingers> Always lurking but one step ahead.

I hate to say it, but I think this show is going to down hill. It depends what they do with it. I don't like the fact they keep killing off people with no plot developments **cough** Charlie **cough** it makes the show annoying.

They're only going to pay to so many people to be on the show for so long. This way Sylar gets powered up and we know where the powers are coming from.

Yeah and the fact that the actors being used in the throw away roles aren't exactly A-listers they probably are not blowing a whole lot of the budget on them. They probably paid Stan Lee more for his 5 lines than they paid Charlie, Zane and Dale put together, Not to mention the fact that the effects budget is probably larger than the cast budget at this point. Problems may arise if the rating stay high and the main characters start asking for more. If that happens then a major 'Crisis' type event happens and the cast is reset. We will probably never know how many heroes there actually are.

not including how much money they are using on special effects.. the story just following peter is costing a pretty penny now that he whipin out all kinds of powers ,all flyin around and junk

besides sylar is suppose to become more and more dangerous by suckin up powers and why would they waste all the money and time they use just to kill off all the main cast

No, what I think is the Sylar, won't be able to handle all those powers, and HE will be the one to blow up, NOT peter. The headaches area side effect due to too much taking. Peter will LEARN to control his effects. He is as well.

At least Peter and Isaac got there anger out, the death have now opened both there eyes, and I gurantee this is a turning point.

I still don't understand what Hiro is doing.

Hiro needs the sword so he can grow the 'Soul Patch of Power' and be able to use his powers at will.

He will (see Future Hiro), but don't be in such a hurry to see it happen. Hiro is the best comic relief this show has, and his immaturity and purity are part of his charm. It should be fun to see how he makes it to Mr. Mature, but for now let's let him grow up on his own through his experiences. Just as Peter is maturing, so too will Hiro. I just hope it happens later rather than sooner, because I'll miss Goofy Hiro.

Yeah but I hope there "look i have powers" deal goes by quick and Peter learns some SELF CONTROL. So that explosion doesn't happens, what am I talking about the writers already have that. So whatever I say doesn't matter.

i 100 percent agree nafeasonto, think about it peter`s dreams dont literally come true.like when he flew with simones dad. he has EMPATHIC dreams, which means `2 see from another persons prospective` and when did peter have that dream of blowing up nyc? right after he met sylar. he even dreamed about sylar when he was in custody. u can already c petrs gaining control and sylars loosing it (the hearing power). if any1`s gonna blow up from alck of control, my moneys on gabriel gray.

It's all clear now! As Sylar's abilities increase, so does the actor's salary...Mwahahahaha! I don't think he will be around as long as some think, but if he doesn't die, I won't cry. I kinda like him. He's a good villian.
