Theory about how Sylar gets beaten...

Remember the last thing Charlie says to Hiro before he leaves? She mentions having an aneurism and that she didn't have much longer to live. Since he took her brain - whether he eats it, aborbs it, or just studies it to "rewire" himself to get the power - what if that played a part?

My thought is that just when it looks like Sylar is going to win, the aneurism will burst, killing him.

I thought about that, but HRG did mention that Sylar had changed his DNA, so that is a clue as to how he steals powers.

Gee that would suck Sylar, if he has to go out at all, should go out in a blaze of glory. His character is one of the best on this show, and does not deserve to die of a fluke aneurysm. Sylar can be defeated but not destroyed. So he can return later and wreak havoc on the heroes.

Sylar can fix ANYTHING that is basiclly his real power...he can see how things work and fix them.....so that would not happen...

I think Sylar will die a heroic death saving everbody. Maybe I am far out there, but something Tim Kring said in an interview gave me that impression.

maybe he stops the explosion. like, takes the blowing up power away from peter without hurting him.

I don't have a clue in which forum I found the link to that interview. It was him answering questions from the fans.
The meaning was basically that he has plans for him and that Sylar will surprise us all.

I'd be surprised to see Sylar go out at all. I think they are setting up a betrayal betwwen Mohinder who trusts him and Sylar. It would set up a whole Magneto/ Xazavier dynamic that would run through the whole series, just as i believe HRG will be the Lex Luthor like figure. Always has his hands in every plot but is carefull that it can't be proven

No HRG is not a Lex by long shot. He is keeping secrets for a reason. Well we will find out in next week episode, why.

It was on tvguide.com, but the links don't seem to work anymore. It seems like I somewhat remember Kring saying that he originally was going to kill Sylar in the first season, but he really likes the actor, so you can expect him for at least the second season.

Sylar will be back in the second season. That's where we find out what he does with the brains he takes.

people say sylar falls out of a window and dies in the first season...the second season would prolly have flashbacks to season 1 tho so sylar would be in it, unless they dont kill him off
