Is Jimmy the new Chloe?

Today Clark went to see JIMMY at the DP and they went investigating together.

Is this a foreshadowing of future epis?

Will TPTB slowly write Chloe out of the show and replace her with Jimmy? I mean, the spoilers for the next epis sound like strange things are gonna happen to Chloe...

Nooo! we need chloe! But yeah I was surprised when Chloe told Clark to ask Jimmy. I thought for sure Chloe could do anything. I wonder why she left it on Jimmy?? hmm

Maybe she thought if he and Clark spent some time together, he might see why she trust Clark so much?

Yeah, that makes sense. If anything, I thought Jimmy would replace Ollie as in guy friend Clark can talk to. Plus, we have seen Lois and Jimmy working together so it was time to see Clark and Jimmy as well. After all, they are suppose to be best buds later on. Don't think we have to worry about Chloe being written off.

I am very happy that the Clark/Jimmy friendship was finally kick-started, it was about time IMO...

Maybe all three will work together at times and Clark will continue confiding in Chloe like always. Chloe just wasn't with Jimmy and Clark because of the break up/on a break.

True. But what I found interesting about the Clark/Jimmy scene at the DP was that it worked so very well. So, if Clark goes investigating with Jimmy in the future, then Chloe pretty much becomes obsolete for storytelling purposes...

Sure, Jimmy doesn't know Clark's secret, so he can't confide in him as much as he can with Chloe... But maybe Lana will assume that role? Then Chloe has beecome officially useless...

I hope not. :( I still think though Jimmy can be useful at times that Chloe has more resources and Chloe will still be the most trusted friend. Lana may learn the secret and prove to be a good friend but Chloe and Clark will have gone through more.

Yeah, it does. Unless the characters don't all revolve around Clark all the time. Chloe could hang around Lois or Lana more, or split the characters into groups at times.

Look even if Lana knows the secret, there's just too much water under the bridge between her and Clark. Is it possible that they're going to have a relationship? Maybe but Chloe is still the brains of the outfit. Jimmy might be the TPTB's answer to giving Clark a guy friend but Chloe is still important to his life. Don't see her leaving. Heck after the ratings this week, its Lana's character that might get downsized.
