Did anyone else think the camera shot when Lana fell and all you saw was Clark's foot and then it slowing paned up was not the best like shot ever? I LOVED IT...the episode wasn't awesome but it was worth that shot!!!

You're totally right. It looked like she hit the ground but then we see Clark is holding her, I was like, "Wow, that was really good. What a great shot."

When I saw the guy on the ground I thought Lana was toast then we see his legs and all I can say is wow.

The "Clark catching Lana scene" was a very powerful and emotional one for me. I was actually surprised on how I reacted. You could really feel the love between both of them in that scene. The "slow motion" helped to convey the pwerful feelings.

Agreed. This shot actually made the episode for me. It was awesome to see.

Why didn't he catch the guy? He's going to be Superman. Superman saves everyone, even the bad guys. Cool scene, but out of character in my opinion.

why didn't she thank Clark-Lana only thanks Lex for saving her. Even when it's Clark.

i liked how they had the short scene at the floor, .. for me anyway, the scene was dark, that could have been anybody who caught her. my thoughts were, on shoot, its lex, lex is gonna make her actually fall in love withthe bastard... but .. then you see clark.

I am surprised that Lana wasn't weirded when Clark caught her at the exact time.

i totally agree with you!!! how i wonder.. what they were trying to hint at with each other with the whole.. lana saying why are you still watching over me? clark: maybe for the same reason as to why you're watching me?? waht does that mean!?

That was the coolest thing ever. When the camera panned over and you saw Clark's feet, I started hyperventilating.

But am I the only one who thinks it's wierd that Clark has suddenly become much more open about his powers with Lana? I mean, in just one episode she saw him using them twice. It's like he thinks that now that she knows there's no point in hiding anymore, but if that's the case, why does he keep fretting over it to Chloe?

yah i remember that clark just looked at pictures with chloe.. but why is clark still watching her? just cuz he still loves her or is there something else? and with clark's answer "maybe for the same reason as to why you're watching me.." well we all know that lana still loves clark..

Yes the catching Scene was totaly emotional!!!! I also saw the love between Lana and Clark!!!! Clark catched in the right time. I mean how can Lana explane this moment to herself? How does Clark know where she is? How does he know that she is in trouble? And the important thing is how does Clark catch her so fast? Do you remember the tornado Scene in season 2? Lana was sure that she felt and heard Clark. It was a fantastic Scee and after Clark kidnappt Lana inthe last episode "Crimson" is it good to see them together again in a much better situation. I was glad that Lex was not there to help Lana!!!! It is good for Lana that Clark is still there and that she still needs him to be safe! In the epsiode "Fragile" Lana said to Clark that she do not need Clark to safe her. But now she know it better!!!! AMAZING SCENE!!!!! Love it!!!!!

I have already posted that tptb will never let Clana die on Smallville and this was just another example of it.

I read one post where someone said that the word reason in Clark's line = chisel. I would be a little more general and say reason = Clark's secret. He's watching her to make sure she doesn't find out the secret or if she does find out, that she doesn't get killed doing it.

No. I still think the best shot ever was the one of Sigeeth's evil head's eye zooming down and becoming the island Lex was trapped on in Exile. That was just mind blowing.

I was alittle confused by this as well, if anybody has some good insight into this i would appreciate it. it didnt seem to quite make sense. He is still watching over her because he loves her and doesnt want her to get hurt by lex. She is watching him to try to figure out his secret. And so the two reasons arent the same, so the line clark says about the same reason you've been watching me doesnt really fit. yeah she loves him to, but it just ended an amazing scene in a somewhat awkward way in my opinion.

Lana is trying to figure out the secret and the secret boils down to the fact that he has the ability to miraculously save her life (and many many other people's).

I see it as a reprise from that scene in Reckoning: to paraphrase...
How many times have you been there for me without my knowing?
I could never let anything happen to you.

I think part of him wants her to find out on her own. That's the impression I'm getting. If she finds out on her own, it's out of his control whether it will put her in more danger or not. But he wants her to know. Maybe he figures this time he wouldn't let her die. But he still feels that telling her himself would definitely make him responsible for any danger that comes her way.
