Lana's Confession to the Wacko

I think Lana's pseudo confession to the crazy in the mansion was actually her real feelings about the situation, at least a little bit.

Yeah, either those are her true feelings or she's really good at acting (err, not keeping in mind that Kristen Kreuk's a pretty good actress hehe).

I honestly thought she was being genuine until she cracked the security guard over the head with the glass.

BUT! At the same time I wonder ... maybe being around Lex is rubbing off on her, so she's able to put on a mask and play a certain part. That might explain it, too.

Yeah, Lana is starting to side with Clark more now. This episode was an eye opener for her, particularly when Clark caught her. She was stunned that Clark gave a damn about her after everything that happened.

Sure, why not? If there is any couple on Smallville that I would make statements like this about, it would be Clana because I know that it will return in some capacity after lexana, TPTB always say that everything goes back to Clana on this show.

I think Clana needs to come back to set the stage for Clark to leave Smallville and become Superman. If Lana marries Lex, what's stopping Clark from leaving? I think the show needs to end with Clark making some difficult decisions.

I doubt it. I think they will set it up so that she starts liking him again, but he will have to leave and pursue his destiny.

This is why I think she was telling the truth. Just as you said, Lana doesn't lie very well. So I think she knew she had to appear genuine because she was afraid of the lunatic & that if she lied and he spotted it, he would kill her. So she used her actual fear & sentiment about her situation with Lex to get the sicko close to her so she could bash the vase (or whatever it was) over his head.

I think there was a hint of truth in there. She will say whatever she has to in order to get out of trouble though. She's always been that way.

Lana made her decision to be with Lex even though she still knew the truth about him (somewhat). She made her bed, now she has to lie in it.

I don't understand how a relationship between Clark and Lana can "hurt" the show. It's my understanding Smallville's ratings are higher when these two are involved romantically....
