What is the deal with Lois and the White Snake CD. She seemed distraught when she found out that was the cd she had made for Clark. Any ideas?

She was channeling Tawny Kitaen..the girl from their videos? LOL!

I think it was just a funny way of showing how she was retro, like the whole "waiting for acid-wash to come back" comment.

Yeah, Lois is "retro." Retro like... she grew up in the '80s and actually listened to White Snake while wearing acid-washed jeans...

I agree, I think the Lois with a few shots could really swing from the bar to 'here I go again' singing 'is this love?I bet she was hoping she didn't do a rendition of 'Slide it In' or Slow N Easy' for clark=kind of embarassing for those not into Whitesnake or not into the person singing/giving

That would be retro yes. Retro meaning to revive an earlier style.

Think it was just her realization that she never shares her strange Whitesnake obsession with anybody unless they really mean something to her. I just took it as she was surprised she shared it with Clark.

Whitesnake rocks - what's the matter with them? I think it's funny they associate Lois with Whitesnake.

I wasn't defining retro... I was actually making a futile attempt at underhandedly calling Lois OLD. :\ Oh well.

I got that, I just refused to interpret it that way because It made me feel old :(

It shows the age of the writers, Lois at this age would have never talked about an 80's hair band.

But us 20 somethings loved the shout out.

I just think it FOCUSED on LOIS and her background a LIL, I mean it didnt go too much in depth on it, but we all know LANA's background and her history as well as CHLOE or enough about her, BUT we needed that on LOIS, would LOVE MORE though

well whitesnake has the best love songs around. i would love to hear some of them on this episode. like "is this love ?" while clark and lois were trying to make love. "aint no love in the heart of the city" while lois was crying :D

Well, when I was that age (am a late 20 something now), I was into the Beatles really obsessively.

Doesn't matter the age, some people can really be "into" bands that were around before they were born.

(And I'm glad that Lois has more taste than to be into some silly little Boy Band or Mandy Moore or someone like that. :p )

you are so wrong. there are no bands around that are better than 80's hair bands. no love songs can get to their levels. i am so glad that lois made a whitesnake cd to clark. i would laugh if she made a emo collection cd :D

*nods* 80's hair bands were the shiznit! Hey! At least they played their own instruments and wrote their own songs! That's pretty damn hard to find today. :(

But lol, yeah an emo collection cd would have shown that Lois knows who Clark really is and understands him.

I think Lois associates Whitesnake with the happier times of her life, maybe it's the band her parents used to dance to before her mother dies or something like that. But Lois being Lois, I don't think she'd ever share something that personal with anyone else, hence the "I must have really liked you" comment and just left it there without giving any details why.

I wonder if Whitesnakes will get a boost after Crimson. I myself have never heard about the band before this, and is currently downloading some of their songs.

They're good :)

maybe a specific whitesnake song reminds her of her first intimate relationship

that could be true... did you notice the look on Clark's face when she said 'I must've really like you'... hilarious...

this wasn't the first reference to Whitesnake.
in Exposed, when Lois is moving out of the Kents to
the talon, Clark asks if he can donate her Whitesnake
collection to good will....lol
Lois is loyal to what she loves (it was a compliment to Clark of how much she liked him) , don't remember her making
a CD for Ollie. :p

Lois into Whitesnake? Sweet.

I think you can tell a lot about a person by what music they listen to. Whitesnake seems to be Lois' access band. She collects all their stuff... that's where she goes to cope. So to make a guy a mix cd with that deep down close to the soul band... that's... that's deeply personal. It's deep.

So I think that's what the moment was about. Lois doesn't break out the whitesnake mix CD for just anyone. :)

Children of the 80's are old??? o.O Holy crap that's just stupid. Children of the 70's and earlier = old. It's not been long enough for the 80's babies to be old yet.
