I can't even count how many nods to the Superman mythology have been thrown in so far!! WOW! I am geeking out pretty hard right now!
SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE EPISODE YET!!
1.
A line from the Spin Doctors song "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" goes:
..Lois and Clark in a telephone booth...
2.
Clark says, "Oliver is not even in the same League as me!" a nod to the figurative and literal here. At times Green Arrow was in a different League other than the Justice League.
3. Lois says, "So, you're able to leap tall buildings in a single bound eh?"
4. She was your past, I am your future!
and it goes on and on..
(I know this is maybe a quotes thread but i really wanted to focus on the meaning as much as what was said.. please add more)
*Gypsie woman says she sees a future for Lois and Clark..

augh, another forshadow:
Lex- If I ever let you slip through my fingers.. I don't know what I would be capable of.
I think there is a whole other level of evil that we are going to see Lex come to.

how about the fact that the first flight clark takes lois on is from the top of the daily planet.

I agree, a very nicely controlled leap to a tall building in a single bound. Classic early supes. In the original Superman comic he didn't fly. He lept everywhere. But this still could be considered a nod towards the future of Lois and Clark flying through the Metropolis skyline.

I loved all of the hints to the Superman mythos and im glad that the writers are throwing more nods in each episode. I love the episode and the Superman continuity.

Clark and Lois "flying" 'soaring" "leaping" whatever, over Metropolis was great....the first of many was all could think of during that scene.
