"Red" vs. "Rush" vs. "Crimson"

So now that we've seen RedK three times, which RedK episode did you like best?

Personally, I pick "Rush" because of the great scene in the barn where Clark demonstrated his powers to Chloe... and also the HOT makeout session they had in the back of Pete's car! :D

I gotta say, I think Crimson topped them all. I loved this episode so much. It was so funny and Lana kinda sorta knows Clark's secret now! Almost-ish.

I'd say Crimson. We've seen uninhibited Clark before but tonight he took it to another level.His rant at the party was incredible. We really got a sense of what he's been thinking and feeling for so long. IMO, the ramifications of this episode are greater.

And just to clarify, "Red" is when he escapes to Metropolis and robs banks and such, right?

For me, that's my favourite.
Me and my boyfriend always watch that episode because he thinks it's awesome that he's using his powers for bad instead of good all the time. Just a personal favourite, for sure!

The usa of red-k in Crimson was again bad. It was mainly a love potion as it was in Unsafe, which I also thought was a horrible use of red-k. If this episode was mainly about Clark using red-k to screw Lex over and do things to his projects & assets that normal Clark wouldn't & combine it with telling it like it is in front of Lex & Lana (as he did), then I would say it would have been a great utilization of red-k. But at least half the episode was a waste.

By far, the greatest red-k episode ever was Exile & the part of Phoenix with the battle between Kal & Jonathan. Red was a close 2nd and Rush is after that.

Rush. He didn't dump Chloe while he was under the influence now did he, as he dumped Lois in Crimson? "Lois" can't even hold his attention while he's drugged with Red K. Plus, this ep gave us Clark all too nasty, hurting everyone needlessly. Clark should not be so lacking in heroism at this point. It's stupid. Red K is now what they do when they don't have any real new ideas. WIth seventy plus years of Superman mythology, they should be able to do better.

My problem with Rush was that it seemed like they just threw Red K in again that season because of the success of Red. I did however like that episode alot, plus I like that Clark was the one who had to help Chloe and Pete instead of the other way around.

i'm about to watch rush now, so i won't vote till i refresh my memory. However...Crimson looks like the early favorite. even though Exile had ramifications, most of them were slow in coming. Crimson defied k-site board logic by NOT hitting the reset button as some were predicting. therefore, i think it was great. and that party crashing scene gave us the highest ownage/minute ratio of any episode probably ever.

I liked Exile a lot, but rush had kaloe, as someone else pointed out, so it gets points for that. It gets bonus points for lana saying "you obviously still have feelings for chloe." and as we've seen, Red K doesn't make him lie or do things he doesn't want to do, just takes away his inhibitions and makes him selfish.

Crimson was unbelievable. I actually thought the make-out scenes were a refreshing bit of fan-service. i watch a lot of anime, so thte concept of fan-service is something i have long since come to accept. also, the little stuff like jimmy thinking they were made for each other and the look on his face when the aphrodisiac lady said her instincts said the same. then I don't think any of us can argue with the party-crashing scene.

Rush was the best because that parasite let Chloe's freak out of the closet. Lots of Chloevage, making out with that random dude and dismissing his ass when she bored of him, and then asking Clark "WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?" as she licked on a lollypop... I'd feel dirty if I didn't know that AM was like 20 in that episode... :lol: Plus she dropped it when she stood on that wood beam in the barn... that was hot.

Of course we also got to see Pete knock Clark the hell out. Loved that.

Rush was a fun episode to watch. Hell yes, one of my all time faves.

I'm between Red and Rush - Red was good because it was the first and it was fun to see Clark OOC. Obviously being a Chlarker/Chloiser Rush was awesome and LOVED Chlark-naughtiness! Well Crimson, first feeling was "oh, great, another redk episode...." and after seeing it, I was more concerned for the way Clark was being portrayed. Really, even as a nonEDLois fan, I was embarrassed for her. On the other hand the sarcasim in the EDLois and Klark conversations combinded with the forced chemistry was somewhat humorus. Mad Klark, was frightning and his verbal blasts at the dinner - just, OUCH!

It was not in any way romantic and showed us a pathetic Lois who deliberately used a mind altering substance, and one with Meteor rocks to boot, to entrance a random guy who happened to be Clark. Lois couldn't have looked worse, especialy after she came looking like a cheap hooker. Even Clark was disgusted when she came onto him and had to BE DRUGGED before he found Lois attractive. Even then he dumped her for Lana. THAT is not the stuff or romantic legends. Crimson was terrible. Lois was at her worst and showeed us once again why she can never be the real thing.

Lois wasn't herself. ANd Clark definitely found her attractive even before he was drugged. When you watch the episode everytime Lois came onto him he would have this momentary look of complete enjoyment on his face before his inhibitions would make him stop. I didn't like when Clark dumped Lois for Lana, but I never liked the Clana story line.

I loved Crimson because it is starting to explore more of the possibilites between Lois and Clark. Once Clana is competely over they can make a full forced move in that direction without the use of any aprhrodesiacs or red K.

Also, I didn't think Lois looked like a cheap hooker. And the psychic however she knew it seemed 100% sure that Clark was going to be the one targeted by the love spell even though she told Lois it would be the first person she saw. Still not sure how the psychic knew Clark's name though.

Crismson by far. I love this because there´s a time for everything. it´s an episode for clana's fans and also for clois' - It´s amazing!
Lots of fans had been waiting for so long for this to happen. I mean, the hot part between lois and clark is awesome. It´s one of my favorites episodes.
At first, I hated lois, but then, when lana became to treat clark that way, i don´t know, i thought it wasn´t too bad for him to have another girl in his life.

But i have to admit that Red (2nd season) it´s a great episode too.

That being said, I thought "Exile" was ruddy brilliant! :D one of the best SV episodes of all time, IMO, not just best RedK.

"Crimson" I was very pleasantly surprised at. It actually progressed the season's main plots very well and wasn't just a fun freaky Valentine's Day episode. :lol: I liked the Clois flight, the engagement dinner payback, the Clexana mega-confrontation and the Lana-figuring-out-Clark's-secret? hint at the end, not to mention ominous doctor conversation about untypical pregnancy. :)

I liked "Red" mainly for being almost a "new power" episode, with the Kents scurrying to figure out what's wrong and with the novelty of the RedK and the detail put into how he reacts. But Clark was such a jerk, and the team up with Jessie was so random, that I don't like to watch it very much.

"Unsafe" was a great episode, but IMO not because of the RedK. The RedK to me just meant an embarrassing two minutes forwarding thru tacky make-out scenes.

Last, I did not like "Rush". RedK incident seemed mostly an excuse to throw another obstacle in Clana's path to love. I also sadly didn't enjoy Chloe's character change. I guess this was her Nicodemus, but I can only say that I am glad Lois didn't go thru something similar in Crimson, instead behaving more like Chloe did in Devoted (crazy lovestruck more than turned-into-a-wild-thang). One thing that I did enjoy about Rush though was Kal's little Godfather talk with Lex in the barn. :rotfl: Oh...My...God. Priceless!

I have problems with Rush, I find parts of it unsettling, especially the strip poker scene. Here are two virgins, drugged out of their minds and not in control about to have sex in public. More creepy than sexy IMO.

Crimson would have been my favorite if it had only been half an hour long. The first half of Lois groping is a lot of fun. But TPTB had to ruin it with the Clana angst, so now I pretty much hate it.

Whaaaa!! These lines were fantastic. I loved that he was able to get back at Lex after a full season of Lex's self-righteous attitude-it was very satisfying. The scene at the dinner party was incredible!!!

Yeah, I really don't like Clana, so I definetely could have done without Lana in that episode. However, the fact that Lex got a taste of what Clark could do to him if he wanted to...was something I had been wanting forever! When Lex pulled the gun on Clark I completely freaked out. *oh yeah, he's gonna get it* :lol:

I actually didn't like Red...Clark wasn't very intimidating to me, and ugh-Lana and Jesse, didn't like those interactions at all.

But of course, Chloe and Clark in Rush were so much fun,
Clark caught Chloe, Clark and Chloe in Pete's car...

But I have to say that Exile was my all-time favorite. No questions about it. (at least all of the parts w/Clark in Metropolis)
It's a shame we can't vote for it!

Oh, and after Exile, when Clark ripped the door off of Morgan Edge's limo, then proceeded to drag him out, whirl him around and slam him against the car...wow. And he wasn't even on RedK.

I forgot Unsafe, that episode was a blast! I love the hotel scene.

I have always wondered what Tom thinks about playing RedK Clark. What I wouldn't give to have him interviewed about it! I really am amazed that he can make such a distinction between the two sides of his character, he always does such an awesome job.;)

I almost completely agree here. I would stick in Rush before Crimson because the true use of red-k fit that episode. In Crimson, we saw it mostly used as a love potion & truth serum. But in Red & Exile, we know that red-k freed Clark so that he really gets out of control and doesn't go after any single girl. Instead it makes him live the life he would without the Kents' morals holding him back. But you know this.

From a purely non-shipper POV (even though I like Clois), I have to say that in Rush, Pete & Chloe were affected by the parasite that made them do crazy things, like red-k Clark. So IMHO, in that episode, it was fitting for Pete to slip red-k on Clark knowing what Clark could do.

I think we both agree that Exile was so awesome because it was Clark living the life he would have led had he ran off to Metropolis with or without Lex in Red. So it took the Red storyline to the next step. I really want to see how red-k would affect his RBB identity & possible fallout as a result of it.

I don't know which Red-k episode was the best, but Crimson was the absolute worst. Clark kidnapping an engaged pregnant woman and forcing a kiss on her? Clark trying to kill someone? I still hate the writers for that.
It wasn't fun, or clever. It was just sad.
