Talk about things TPTB could have done to improve Crimson here or any missed opportunities you found.

Never film it. Red K is fallback for when they run out of ideas. WHile Tom is always great in the role as Red K Clark, this was a new low for the hero. The producers are forgetting that people tuine in to see the ehro be what? HEROIC. A little uncertainty, a few mistakes but this was outright needlessly ******* Clark and I did not enjoy it. It's too late for Clark to be whinning over self-centered Lana Lang, the girl he knows he can't trust and who has never treated him or any other guy right. He's an idiot for not kicking her to the curb long ago.
Despite Tom's again fantastic performance, this ep was a downer and a dud.

Lionel should have been at the engagement party. His reactions to Clark's rant would have been priceless I'm sure.

I think a big missed opportunity was not having Clark piss Lex off by wreaking havoc on his holdings (without Lex knowing it was him) and start an assault on Lex's empire, but as an anti-hero type (due to the red-k). Having that be the 1st half of the episode and keeping most of the 2nd half of the episode the way it was would have been remarkable. I just think the 1st half of the episode was a waste of red-k. They could have done so many better things with Kal.

As inspired by a post of SVfan26, a great scene that could have had a sh-tload of acting would have been Martha freaking out and telling at Lex to get the hell off her property after seeing what happened to Clark to sell his "stabwound".
I'm just glad they didn't have Chloe be the one who got him out of his red-k phase since she had no experience with how to get it and its influence away from him & out of his system. I thought it was very realistic how Martha explained it to Chloe.

i wish they had thought through all of the plot points.
Clark super-speeds out of the barn. Where'd he go? Metropolis? To meet Chloe?
When he meets up with Chloe, admittedly she was late for their meeting, but then Lois was there moments later?
Its daylight when Clark and Lois start making out in the phonebooth and office, then they he takes her to the roof. Where it's suddenly night.
There were a lot of those in this episode. Time problems, transportation problems and the like.
Just wish they had a stronger plot timeline to make it believable.

how did clana get to the barn
wasnt clana over?? oh wait thats not completely a faulty plot point,
but i would have made it all about red k and having fun, an episode with a lighter mood, but the whole crashin the engagement party and the kidnaping just gave what had been so far a fun epi an angsty shade that practically ruined it.

I wish Shelby would have attacked Lex in the barn. Shelby saves Clark one week but isn't around to protect the property?

Better opportunity? I would have like to have seen more Red-K Clark. Other than that, the episode was pretty solid.
I do like that Kal retained more of Clark this time around. Clark has been bombardrd with "ships" lately that I thought it was realistic of him to express his feelings of Lois, Chloe, and Lana. I also enjoyed how Clark remembered the events of Season 5 such as Lex's barn speech of having everything Clark had.

Maybe if Lana didn't get knocked unconscious so many times, she'd remember that conversation she had with Clark when the ship blew up in his backyard right before he ran away to metropolis for a summer.

I must say that I was kind of disappointed with this episode, because in RED, RUSH and UNSAFE, Clark did not give a d**** to Lana, in this episode did not really seemed to be affected at all, not at its best ......I am sure that Clark had so much in mind.....but things happened too fast.....I think that scene that he and Lois showed up at the mansion .....instead of grabbing Lana and blowing off Lois.......he should have joined them and starting kissing Lois in from of all ......and say EVERYTHING he wanted to ....another thing I noticed .....in the end he was still moping and regreting things he said and did .......come on .....this episode could have been so much better .....if they hadnīt rushed thingsout...

I thought the episode was a waste until that happened. That was when the plot of the season/series started advancing.
I wish instead of having fun, he would have trashed some Luthorcorp facilities which normal Clark wouldn't do. Busting out some freaks and bringing them to the mansion would have been a scene I would loved to have seen. I really wanted some non-angsty red-k portion of the episode that was full of action and would have also advanced the storyline (as Exile was full of---all that stuff that happened with Morgan Edge, the blood serum, etc). I do think that the angsty part was necessary since it will finally start making Lana's character interesting.
