So, what's the kid's deal? is it the ability to control tech, or something similar but unique like being able to fix or reconfigure machinery? of course i really just wanted to post the first thread in this sub-forum.

Well we've seen his power before when he fixed the pay phone. I don't know if it's controlling technology or repaiting it, but the kid sure is cool. :)

i think so too. as child actors go, he isn't bad. I wonder if this is like real life, and it's just a coincidence that mutant parents had a mutant kid, or if it's like X-Men, where mutant parents combine for an even more powerful mutant kid almost always.

In the first episode he built his on computer from spare parts, then in another episode, his grandfather bought him a notebook computer and he took it apart in what seemed like just seconds.
I bet they expand his powers to an even higher level once the character gets popular with the younger crowd.
Hey, you know they are gonna sell the action figures soon if not already.

Wasn't that Sylar's original gift? - To see how things work and fix them? Like the clocks?

Well with Sylar his gift was knowing that something was broken then he fixed it. Micha has mind control over technology so he is able to fix or power up using his mind or however technopaths do their thing. Sylar had to do everything by hand so he didn't really have a power except for knowing that something was wrong.

and sylar's stuff works on non-tech. i think.

i had forgotten about the computers he fixed/took apart. i remembered the payphone in that one episode though.

I was wondering when they were finally going to give Micah's story some time. This should be very cool. :)

This should be cool. We finally get some insight into his powers. Can't wait to find out.

Maybe he's got the "wave your hand over it" powers like in Roswell

And he was quite pleased with himself too.

Well that was a bit of a let down. I was hoping for a father/son chat. Ah well , looks like Micha is gonna get a whoopin. Shame on him for stealing like that. LOL.

Seriously. You can't steal that much. People notice when you take that much.

I think he's smart enough to know that was wrong. Doesn't he read Spiderman? "With great power comes great responsibility"!

Not to bright , for a genius. Is it?

Unless he interfaced with the system and redirected the camera and all, then maybe, but it will catch up with him.

his dad will probably be blamed for it and then they'll have to run from the cops.

Uffr

Though him and his dad could make a good team. The kid steals the money and if his dad can get them away if they get caught (assuming he learns to phaze other people through solid objects.)

Let DL reach his hand inside the ATM, & put it back.

I loved how DL looked fearful when he first asked where he got the money.. so good.

Oh and CHlarklover, I hope that's still not considered a spoiler.. now that we've seen him do it twice, I talk about it pretty openly. Maybe I should be a little more careful. I did love the comparison in that interview tho..
good post.

I guess "like father, like son."

There's got to be some sort of talk about how he shouldn't steal, and blah blah blah.

I think there will be some sort of legal ramifications for that amount of money.

Still, it was cool seeing him do that. He's supposed to be really really smart so maybe he figured out some way to trick the system...

It's funny, the first thing my wife said when we watched was, "do you think he was smart enough to fix the camera in the unit while he did it?"

meteor_phreak
01-30-2007, 08:35 AM
yay, i started a popular thread...

of course you know, he WAS gone for a really long time, as evidenced by his dad's worry, and i think it was after dark. there's nothing saying he got all that from one machine. and unless they took prints or something, it might be darned near untraceable. if he just controls the machine, then he didn't use a real account number or password. even if the camera caught him...not every cop would know what the kid looks like or remember where they know his face from if they did.

Chlarkerlover
01-30-2007, 11:01 AM
i don't think he used a password, (if he did that would be REALLY stupid, even for a kid) i think he just told the ATM to give him the money.

superhippie2000
01-30-2007, 12:13 PM
I wonder if he got money from other places too. that seemed like a ton of money to be in an ATM. I knew he took out some cash not sure how much but then he did it agian and took out 500. There looked to have been a lot more then that. Don't ATMs only hold a certian amount of cash? Plus that ATM was like at a gas station or something and looked old. Didnt look like something many people would have used.

STFanatic
01-30-2007, 12:16 PM
I used to do Security at an ATM company, there can be up to $25.000 in a single ATM that is located near a mall or busy area, and sometimes more during the weekend.

superhippie2000
01-30-2007, 12:37 PM
Well i guess all that money could have been close to that much. Guess it depends the time of day and how many people withdrew money. But it didnt seem busy enough of an area that would need that much cash. Guess its like figuring how how Hiros time travel works. No point cause we can go on and on. lol. As long as we get the idea of what happened then its cool. lol.

meteor_phreak
01-30-2007, 12:50 PM
however, he was gone for a loooooong time, so he might have hit up a few in a given area...i dunno

That kids going to have to learn a few tricks like turning off the camera. Lot of explaing to do if he gets caught.

Then again, he is a juvinile, and in California, he would get off with a warning and a lolypop.

Yeah there's going to have to be a father son talk soon.
