Was there Forshadowing of the Chlana Rivalry Heating Up???

Is their somewhat un-friendly rivalry for Clark in Labyrinth forshadowing of the girls turning a corner to un-friendly rivals in the Real World?

I see Hydro as a setup for this and from the scene in the talon it seem Lana, Clark and Chloe were not on friendly tearms and played the part of jealous rivals. Lana seemed to know exactly how to play Clark and Chloe typically just gave up and walked away.

Finally Cark admitted to his feelings for Lana are still there,but slowing her grip of him is loosening week by week the last scene really sticks w me the sinster glance that Lana had as she walked out the door w Lex.:mad:

Point blank.. I want CLANA over.. I'm sick of this angsty relationship.. nothing else can come from revisiting their love again. NOTHING!!! It can't help him take a step towards being Superman when Lana makes him take 3 steps going backwards to her.. its annoying.
