For all you Clana haters out there, rejoice! Tonight's episode saw the beginning of the end of Clana!
Seriously!
For those who Tivo-ed it, here's the evidence:
Clark: "The truth is I still love her."
Sure, he said it, but he said it in a resignated way, after just saying that choosing her had almost cost him everyone and everything he loved.
Then, in the Talon, he told her about his 'dream'
She asked about the ring, and he said it was an engagement ring. She asked what happened next, and...
Clark: "I woke up."
He's realized that them being together is nothing but a dream. It's not gonna happen. Both seem resigned to their fate at the end of the conversation.
and Lana's glance back over the shoulder?
one last look back at what might have been!
And not to speculate on next week's episode too much, but when have we ever seen Clark do anything he didn't 100% regret after using the Red K? A sure sign that what he asks for is NOT what he gets.
It's over! Rejoice!
(unless you like Clana, in which case by seasons 1-3 on DVD)

You say good-bye, and I say hello.
hello, hello.
La-la-la...

I agree that it was a goodbye but that doesn't mean Crimson isn't going to be painful to watch (especially when I have a Clana loving younger sister that will throw it in my face.) I think we are going to have to watch a love square of the last half of the scene. Lex after Lana, Lana after Clark, Clark after Chloe and Chloe trying to play keep away

I saw no good-bye. Sorry.
I'd loved to though...

 Totally agree Lana made him choose one or the other "save the world" or "be with me forever"...Clark chose to save the world and by doing that he chose Chloe (talon scene).
Clark "woke up."
And yes he realizes he still loves Lana (he loves all his friends tho so watev)...but he said it in a resignated way...like hes realizing it wasnt meant to be...maybe if he was normal, but he's not.
And hahahaha who was taking Lana's place in the Dream? CHLOE. And who was at the telescope to be pining LANA. The roles are switching and fast!

That wasn't my point. "This needs to die", "it's dead" over and over to the point of nauseaum. It's not going anywhere, much like the others ships including the ones that cause the rest of us pain.

i'm not sure about clark falling for chloe now. i think he's finally truly realizing what a great friend she has been, but i think on his behalf it truly is platonic. besides, that would forever ruin his relationship with jimmy olsen is he stole his girl away. can't see it happening.
all this has done is make way for Clollie.
or Ollex. Always sensed an underlying tension between those two.
I'm just waiting for Lanis. hot!

But at this late date, he should even couch it in terms of love. SHe's cruel and nasty to him repeatedly, unfaithful having cheated on him emotionally with Lex long before she moved in with Lex. Why would anyone want this awful girl? Ever? It's just a rehash of Clark wanting to be normal again and that time has passed. WE don't want to hear it anymore!
The writers have said flat out that Clark is jealous and has a thing for Chloe. That's why the Clana crap is senseless now. ANd next week we'll get more of the same apparently with some nasty slut Lois thrown in. Just pathetic.

Lost in Space reference? .:rotfl: :rotfl: Love it.
I wish Clark had a robot warning him off Lana. If only Shelby could talk I know he'd be playing that part

For crying out loud, she's pregnant with the bastard love child of his arch-nemesis and he's STILL in love with her?!?
Sigh.
