I remember the I read a story on this website that was VERY similar to this one. Except the main character was Chloe. If you want to take a look at it, check this out: http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34087.

Rip-off rip-off rip-off. Most overused word in the history of KSite? Perhaps. This is not a new premise, it was used in Buffy, it's been used in Sci-Fi TV before Buffy, it's even been used in Sci-Fi and non Sci-Fi books. It is nothing new, but it most certainly isn't a rip-off.

If anything the fan-fiction is a "rip-off" of an already overused plot.

Remember an old James Garner Movie with this plot, or a Star Trek - The Next Generation episode, or ...

When two people have the same idea it usually means it's a good idea. Not necessarily a ripoff...

The "distorted/alternate/dreamscape/mindscape/anything of that sort" reality story has been done for ages, and will be for many more. Virtually every show does it at least once, sometimes twice or more. No ripoff, in general there really are only a few actual ideas in tv, so things get reused.

heh there are only three ways write a story.
1 Man vs Man
2 Man vs enviroment
3 Man vs Himself
ultimately you can break any story down to one of these basic components. Also Everything i mean EVERYTHING has been done before. There is basically nothing new to be written again. Sure you could take previous story and add a new slant to it, but it is ultimately the same story.
For example Take the story "The most dangerous game" written by Richard connell.
Basically the story is about a man trapped on an island that is hunted by another man who hunts humans for sport.
How many movies/tv shows are there with this same premise? just different actors. "Surviving the Game" with Ice T is one variant of the story. There are also several others, but ya'll can investigate that on your own hehe. So if Clark was "hunted" for sport on an island by a zoner for fun, would it also be crappy writing and unoriginal? i mean hell its all been done before right?

You do know anything posted on a message board becomes property of the board owner unless otherwise copyrighted right?
(Yeah, I know Craig owns this one though)
