Why would he think giving up his destiny and all those that he cares about, so that he could be with Lana means something positive? I'd think he'd finally realize that she's an obstacle to the man he needs to be for the world. Doesn't he even wonder why she, his supposed true love, didn't believe in him. I mean she was helping the doctors. I kind of feel that this may hint at a Lana betrayal when she finds out the truth, but she'll think she's helping Clark. Maybe she'll sign him up for 33.1. I mean she sent Chloe to a mental hospital with Lex's help who knows what she
could do to Clark. I just wish Clark would've analyzed the events of that world a little more thoroughly, then just deciding he's stilll in love with Lana. I mean there were some important themes going on in that AU and he really should look over that experience more carefully.

Who's to say that he did think it means something positive? He didn't tell Lana he still loves her, and the fact that he CHOSE to leave the AU rather than be with Lana shows that he's decided Lana is not the Most Important Thing (TM).

If Clark tell her his secret, she will pretty much betrayal him big time and use Lex's dark side power to keep him in the lab experiment. Or she will try 2 kill Clark cuz she will noticed that her parents die from that too.

Agreed, she's so unhealthy for him. I don't know why the writers won't let him see that. At least they're acknowledging it to the audience explicitly now. Maybe Clark will eventually catch on.

So instead of realizing that Clark made a decision to not get to be with Lana forever in order to prevent the Phantom from destroying the real world, it is going to be ignored in favor of Lana-bashing, eh?

I'm not Lana bashing but I do think he really needs to examine what was going on in that dream much more. If I were him I'd come out of that dream realizing that she's not the one, because I could put the world in danger and my loved ones. Also, I think he should analyze why she didn't believe in him and she should. Even if it's a reality being created by the phantom, he's playing on real fears that Clark has. A part of Clark feels that Lana will lead to his own downfall. This was even hinted at in Unsafe. I guess I just think if I were him I'd be thinking about all of these things.

What people keep leaving out is that when Clark rushed to the talon to see Lana he didn't declare his love for her. He said he had a dream and that he"woke up". I don't think Clark will forget what happened in his dream. He was even nice to Lex, his worst enemy. Just because Clark admitted he still loves Lana doesn't mean that Clana is back.
