i was kidding. But i actually did start wondering half way through the episode how many hours have i spent watching smallville in my life

Yeah, me too.

It would've sucked if the episode ended with Clark sitting in the corner of his cell and all of a sudden a voice says: "This has been the series finaale of Smallville."

I'd cry.

Did you ever honestly think that at any part of the episode? You had to know that it was some kind of trick.

I thought that it was a test that Jor-El was putting him through. I guess I was wrong though.

One thing that kind of bothers me though is the fact that they're saying that he chose going back to reality over being with Lana, like it was a hard choice. It was explained to him that it was all a trick, and when it was over, all of humanity would be enslaved. So it wasn't like he would be able to be with her anyway.
