that the whiny Lana wasnt on. tHis was a great episode because she didnt make an appearance. They should just kick Lana from the show, she is the most pointless character in the series.

Well it's like real life, if you don't like someone you know you can't just kill them, so why would they kill off Lana just because you don't like her.

I think she definitely would have detracted the episode. Of course, I almost always think she detracts from episodes these days...:p

Lana's like a slinky... she serves no purpose, but brings a smile to your face when you push her down a flight of stairs...

hahhahahahaha - that is one of the best explanation/defenses to keep a character on the show ever. :rotfl:
It's amazing how Lana wasn't even in this episode and people are STILL talking about her! Again with the needless bashing...

I'm glad she wasn't in it, there was no plot justification for her in this eppie. To have her in it just to be in it would have detracted from the rest of the plot.

I would've taken a random Lana scene over the Chloe scenes after Clark blabbed Bart's secret.
Yeah I said it.

I agree, there honestly wasn't any need for her in the epi and if loillie wasn't breakin up I dont think we would have seen lois either.I mean even her time was cut short(Like martha's who only made a appearance),but there was no need for lana tonight since her story picks up in later epi's.Tonight was more about the team comin together so it wasn't bad that she wasn't in there but it wasn't great either,it jus fit imo

u would I thought chlark scene at the talon was cute,he seemed like he was kickin hisself around chloe all nite.First not bein there to save her then not tellin her things,it looks like that argument last week knocked sum sense into him.But I wouldn't have taken a lana scene over chlark tonight tho, lana jus didn't fit tonight. But since the issue for the JL was level 33.1 it made sense for chloe to be jus as involved since she knows more than any of them on the matter.

I missed lana this episode. but I know that sometimes its important to remove a character from one episode, especially in a show like smallville. hopefully shes comes back with a bang! :p

ohhhhh folks..i do feel sorry for the Lana character....what have TPTB done to that poor girl???
and I feel sorry for KK too....on some days she must read the script and be like: WTF am I still doing with these writers!..I need to find me another series or something....
i hope TPTB do well by her in the future...even though she is not my favorite character, she deserves better for being on the show since the pilot

What purpose does Lana serve but to make either Lex or Clark crazy. She dosent really have any friends and no one really wants to talk or hang out with her, unless they have to. Only people that talk to her out of their own free will, is Clark and Lex, and they still arent to wild about her and what shes done and will do. She served her purpose for Seasons 1-6, let her leave and lets move on...

You know, in the last few weeks, in my workplace, I came across 3 people, all near 50 years old, who had watched the show, 2 still do. The one who tuned out said it was too much Lana and another one said they need to get rid of Lana. These are just casual viewers, not die hards like many of us, so that viewpoint really must be a concensus.

" War Animal here..haha...Lana...ah..."
Well I kinda missed Kristin's beautiful face...and to comment on the tera patrick thing...they do kinda look alike in the face but...Kristin is Dutch and Chinese..so...am not gonna say it ya'll say......anyway...Lana's gonna be out for a few more episodes along with Lois...Martha's gonna be gone a few episodes along with Lionel...who I really think should go to bring back old characters.....is....John Glover who plays Lionel...he's really nothing more than a double agent guiding clark to his enemy lex by being a spy working both sides of the fence like Splinter Cell Rogue Agent....and Martha is becoming useless to...they should just leave those characters as being mention like gotham city is mentioned every so offen...and the new cast for season 7 should change....Black Canary should be added to GA's JL if they decide to make another JL episode or a spin off...that's all am gonna say regarding Lana because I like her..she's the sexy girl outta the show...everyshow has a girl that keeps the guys coming so it doesn't look like a sausage fest...I think if there is a season 7 there gonna have to go beyond smallville and just regular clark.
" War Animal Out...switching to silent running.." lol yeah I wanted to say that last part too...

I've talked to a person at a former job who said she's gorgeous (but too skinny) and had nothing negative to say about her presence on the show, so just from comments from two people you think it's a consensus? I beg to differ. It may be, but comments from a few people is no way to prove it.

i really dont like lana right now. i think the writer made a good choice not to have lana in justice. her presence would have ruind the episode. shes has become a pointless character and the series can definetly survive whithout her.

I wouldn't have minded Lana in this ep. As it was written, there wasn't a need for her, but if they'd written a purpose for her, that would have been fine.
Lana is not well-written, IMO. When they gave her purpose outside a guy (and didn't have her expressing contradictory opinions week-to-week) she was okay. I admit she's never been my favorite, but at the beginning of season 5, she was starting to get good. She was investigating the meteor shower, and she was eschewing the help of others. And, the Clana was well-done. At first they were happy, and then we were seeing the beginnings of the relationship failing, and it was portrayed as both their faults, and it was good. Then it became all Clark's fault and Lana was blameless and she just handed over all control and stuff to Lex and didn't even try to investigate on her own anymore, and she's (IMO) gone downhill since. I'd love to see her get better again.
And I'd be against her being killed, even if she continued to get worse.
